Cast on 4+1 Knit on the back stitch 3 knit, 1 purl, last 4 all knit slip stitch 1, purl 1, then purl 1 knit 3

Ah so after the slip stitch on second row it is a purl not a knit? One of the comments left said it was an error she made?

You have made a mistake at the start of row 2 it should be slip the edge stitch then knit one and not purl one. then start the repeat pattern with purl one
