There are 3 levels of carvings:
Beginners Level - you will learn how to apply quick and simple designs to the different fruits and vegetables.
Intermediate Level - you will progress onto more detailed carving designs for larger centrepiece displays
Advanced Level - How to carve Roses and more flowers. After you master all these flowers - you can apply to larger Fruit & Vegetable such as Watermelon and Pumpkin.

In this video - I am using a bird's beak red handle knife. You can buy it at any knife shop or catering suppliers. As shown in the carving techniques / tips lesson one. All the best :)

I bought my knife from Thailand. You can purchase it on eBay calls a bird's beak thai fruit carving knife, kom kom. thank you :)

you can try if you are very careful - the vegetable peeler might be a bit difficult to control - it might cut too deep. if you are successful, could you please share with everyone. appreciate very much for your suggestion.

very nice work and excellent estimation of measures by eye. also aesthetic look is very creative. well done. will be interesting challenge for such a skilled carver to deal with trombone pumpkin. Could be actually very challenging what do you think ?

Hi Blanca, To prevent the apple turns brown : - choose a very fresh apple, I am using a gala apple - please wear a glove if you have a warm hand - or dip in a mixture of salt and water Thank you very much :)

very well done but im thinking that maybe if you use a vegetable peeler you might be able to speed up the bulk of the thinning steps and then finish with a knife? would that work? or would it be too clunky and not accurate enough?

btw do you use citric acid for staying fresh and not get brown ? I mean lemon juice... ? or will be interesting to make it completely dry specially this type of veg just because it is beautifully made so completely dry can be interesting designer work.

Hello. Can u please tell me the major difference in using thin blade (in this video with yellow cover) and thick blade (red cover) knife? I have seen these 2 types of knife the most in your videos. I have thin blade knife. Do i need to buy the thick blade too?
