I just recently lost my youngest son 36 yrs old. While I lay here listening to these old church songs it makes me cry cos I know how much he loved his GOD.

On the way to church, I played this CD by Alan Jackson, dad in the passenger seat, started to weep. These classic hymns will last till Jesus takes us home. Two of my children were baptized in a Lutheran church with my cousin a Roman Catholic priest participating which took a "Papal" OK /blessing. I just felt I had to do this. Love 💕 this collection of glorious hymns. I didn't move from my seat through all the hymns. I sang along with them, remembering a lot of precious memories. There was only three selections that I didn't know all the words to. I am 71 years old and I grew up on these hymns. They are especially comforting when I am having a down day. I put the ear buds in and close out everything else and absorb all the words. So beautiful.

Jesus is the answers of all the problems we have had.we started them ourselves.

I was born in Ukraine into a Christian family. This was a time when the church was persecuted. Now that I have lived in the States for nineteen years and listened to these beautiful Christian hymns in English, I understand how much they had in common. I'm 84 raised going to Sunday School wherever we lived & there was a Church close enuf for me & my younger sisters to walk. Any church. Baptized age 11 with myom 1949. As teenager I forgot (but not deep down, raise up a child rite & when he is old he WILL return. And so I have. Baptized this past July 16, 2023, age 83. Have Church Family now. Wonder of my life is that Jesus was ALWAYS with me, whether I knew it or not. Mostly not, forgiven I am & BELIEVE . Might say I had "near death experience" without loosing conscience ! 🌲Whatever wherever however he leads me I'll go. BELIEVE, hold onto your expectancy which IS "HOPE" with FAITH. As Jesus lived when he came at Christmas. Love is a verb. So is forgiveness. 🌲

These songs reminds me of my Beautiful Mother who brought me to church. She is now in Heaven. Thank God for her faith. I miss her dearly.

I grew up in church under these beautiful hymns and accepted Jesus at the age of 9.. and today I can say from my heart, he has never failed me..and I am proud to say, when the roll is called up yonder, I will be there in Jesus name. To God I give the glory for both parents who taught us the word of God, and my dad who has transitioned to his long home, teaching us to have faith of your own. Floods of tears have come ...in time of grief once again...I need this music to allow me to feel. So "old fashioned' but so profound. Guess my neighbors should be thankful I do not have a keyboard ! Did not realize I knew all these hymns by heart. Although a pastor that I admired told me once I "had dropped the ball" with my family, I know I did in ways....but it was complicated. I tried but still to this day...am alone in my faith. Two of my children were baptized in a multi faith way because I believed in that...it was not easy...but I felt that united Lutherans and Catholics was important to my beliefs. It happened. I dearly loved people from both faiths. Guess that covered all bases..both those beautiful children have died. My beautiful children...but they have gone to heaven with a bit of "a first". My faith is growing as I age. ...no matter who makes light of my beliefs.

Old Gospel Hymns are so uplifting and inspiring, I so loved singing it. Oldies but so goodies,our God be praised, sacred hymns are never outmoded.

Oh wow! All the songs we sang in our little church when our family was growing up. There were 12 kids (8 living in the house at anytime). My mother made us all sing at every church get together until finally we were often requested to sing. I learned to play the piano and became the church pianist after my sister married and moved away. Learned saxophone and some guitar. All that to say to those who do those things now: Keep doing it without fail because you really do lose what you what you don’t use. I’ll forever regret that I stopped. It will never be the same after so many years. Stay with it even if you get disheartened!!!

I love these songs I remember my mama cooking or cleaning and singing these beautiful songs and to my daddy listening to her sing I can't help but crying and wishing I could go back even if it's only for a few minutes but at least I can go back in my heart and knowing one day I'll able to sing with them again. My Grandmother was born in 1889 and my mother in 1930. When I was a child they would take us to All Day Church Singings. My mother now bed ridden with Alz. I’m so thankful I found this beautiful music. God Bless you.
