Story: We begin with Jim and Cinderella being from prominent families. Cinderella is from the Tremaine family and Jim is the future duke. Their parents arrange a marriage between the two, and instead of them being bitter about it, they seem to embrace the idea and start to court one another and prepare for the future marriage. Everything seems to be going smoothly, until the night of the ball. King Charming (yes, he's a king in this story) notices Cinderella and asks her for a dance. His wife, Belle, is not happy with the situation, but powerless to stop it, she remains quiet and lets it happen. Jim notices too, but he doesn't expect anything serious to happen, at least not until he sees how much it bothers the queen. Lady Tremaine is really worried and suspicious about it, but decides to hold her tongue until things calm down. The next day, people are gossiping and suspicions continue to grow regarding Cinderella and the king. Jim confronts Cinderella about it, and not surprisingly, she doesn't hide her feelings about the king and how she doesn't see what the big deal is. Jim warns her about this becoming a legal matter if she continues to pursue a relationship with the king. Cinderella is aware, but she selfishly thinks that if she is not caught, then there is nothing to worry about. Meanwhile, Jim is saddened by Cinderella's choice and decides to focus his attention onto someone else, her sister Anastasia Tremaine. After several days of Cinderella neglecting Jim, Jim decides to marry Anastasia instead. The pair is celebrated and preparations are set in motion. At the same time, Cinderella is caught with the king by the queen. The queen is able to charge Cinderella with adultery and Cinderella is stripped of her title. She is now a servant in her mother's household. Jim and Anastasia marry and they move into his estate. Sadly, Cinderella sees how happy Anastasia is as his wife and feels a small tinge of regret, only because she knows she messed up her chance at becoming a duchess and helping her family climb the social ladder.
Editor's Note: I truly love the story I made here. It's very complicated and there is so much going on. In my opinion, it's the society that is the villain here. Yeah Cinderella is selfish in this story and pursues her own wants instead of sticking to what is expected by her family, and the king is also selfish with his many affairs (there were affairs before Cinderella but her was never caught until now) but the society in this story sees women as a way for families to constantly make their situations better through marriage or personal connections. Men of course have most of the power, but women gain that same amount of power by marrying them. I can go on and on about this all day but this is the basic information for it. I just like this story alot.
