I’d completely forgotten about the beautiful south until the other day when I found out dvd of all of the gold music videos. My childhood was sat having tea in the parlour in front of the TV and my sister and I always asking for that DVD to be put on. I’ve accidentally opened a huge world of childhood nostalgia. It’s funny seeing these videos and listening to the songs now and realising how innocent I was back then.

I need a little time to think it over I need a little space just on my own I need a little time to find my freedom I need a little Funny how quick the milk turns sour, isn't it, isn't it? Your face has been looking like that for hours, hasn't it, hasn't it? Promises, promises turn to dust Wedding bells just turn to rust Trust into mistrust I need a little room to find myself I need a little space to work it out I need a little room all alone I need a little You need a little room for your big head, don't you, don't you? You need a little space for a thousand beds, won't you, won't you? Lips that promise, fear the worst Tongue so sharp, the bubble burst Just into unjust I've had a little time to find the truth Now I've had a little room to check what's wrong I've had a little time, and I still love you I've had a little You had a little time and you had a little fun, didn't ya, didn't you? While you had yours, do you think I had none, do you, do ya? The freedom that you wanted bad Is yours for good, I hope you're glad Sad into unsad I had a little time to think it over Had a little room to work it out I found a little courage to call it off I've had a little time I've had a little time I've had a little time I've had a little time

Simply extraordinary song, vocals and video. The lyrics are superb, so poetic in depth and subtly. Lines like ‘sad to unsad,’ understand that she is not happy, just unsad. There is a huge difference. “My ‘favourite line is the heavily caustic; ‘you need a little room for your big head..’ ( with said head surrounded by knives!) The video is certainly one of the best music videos ever made. The bathos and the dark humour. The acting by both is superb. Briana is terrifyingly psychotic as the scorned wife, he as the passive ‘guilty’ husband. The dynamic is all its toxicity is perfection. On a side note, one hopes that the partially decapitated teddy does not belong to an unfortunate child of this relationship. I must have watched this video/listen to this song a 1000 times. I never tire of it. Sheer perfection!

Yes great video. Where was the location for this video. I guess the indoor shots could have been filmed in a studio set but where was the location for the back garden.
