This winter has been really cold so far. Here in the far north of Finland where I live, it's normal but sometimes it gets tough. In this video I show you the small struggles of living in these arctic conditions but also how beautiful it can be with freezing temperatures, cold but so pure nature and the magical northern lights.

Hi Sanna! Thank you for sharing your beautiful world! The amazing northern lights and the special light of the winter sun. Oh, I love it! I love the cold, but - 30 is really cold and tough. We have some unusual warm days of winter again, after a nice and cold period. We still have a lot of snow, since we got so much, but I don´t like the constant shift of the temperature, melting snow and then icy slippery paths. I am sooo sorry you lost so many fotos and videos!! Oh no!!! I know what that means, I am a fellow youtuber. My fotos and my videos are like my treasure. Very sad that you also lost a whole video before you could share it. Your videos are so beautiful!! I wish you all the best! Big hug from Norway 💚

When my wife and I were near Ivalo recently in January, driving around to find spots to see the northern lights, standing outside without moving very much and admiring the magical and ancient, foxy, fiery northern lights for the first time in our lives, our guide/driver brought out some hot blueberry juice and made us feel at home from the inside out.

If you keep the batteries warm inside your coat near your body, the charge will last longer. And if there is a connection for a USB battery pack, your can also keep that inside your coat and use a cable to plug into the camera. I hope you can make some more videos of the landscape, villages and a traditional sauna! I love to ski across the lakes in the winter as well.

Around 10min from your video I completely feel you when you talks about cold and frozen hand 🖐🏻🥶 that is the worst but at the same time we feel alive... but aren't you wearing inner thin gloves under your big gloves ? That's what I try to do as much as possible 😅 well I liked that video it shows how beautiful winter is but at the same how dangerous and hard it can be for someone not well informed and ready for it. You guys are definitely strong people 🥶🔥😀

I do wear inner gloves but while taking photos I can't wear any gloves since I can't operate my camera with thick gloves and that's when my fingers truly freeze 😬 Winter is tough but also shows it beauty on the hardest days ❄

Oh Sanna it’s good to see you again. The loss of your work is so sad! I can feel your happiness when we feel the sunshine. Well we don’t have total darkness but it’s always thick clouds and snowing here. The snow in the trees does look amazing. Winters can be hard but I really enjoy them. Glad you are back. I am also a photographer, videographer, and always back up my photos to an external hard drive, sometimes do a second hard drive, of course now , everything can be backed up to iCloud… anyway, I just discovered your channel and enjoy your videos

My grandparents and ancestors were from Finland and Sweden, when I work on my family tree I often wonder how in the world did they make it before electricity, gas, it was a very hard life that’s for sure❤
