Yeah she was naive about opening a business, but she realized it wasn’t for her quickly and moved on instead of letting it drain her life and money. So good for her. No harm in trying something as long as you are willing to admit it isn’t working.

She Bought a business...solo. Her not realizing the amount of time, money m, and effort that goes into starting a business (with the age-old testament that you don't Make and money for at Least the 1st year) is just ignorant. I haven't watched the video in its entirety yet, but Not knowing that it 'takes money to make money', is straight dumb.

It works. I’ve owned the kids theme salon for 20 years. However, what a lot of new business owners in the salon industry does it take to consideration is January February, and March are your slowest months. So then they close up Shop because they don’t see a profit in those three months and they don’t notice save up for those three months because you’re going to take a hit. A lot of salon owners don’t do their research or a lot of them are fresh out of school and think that they could just open up a salon because they have the money.

Just so everyone realizes, the plaintive did nothing wrong in opening a business and finding out it was too much. Good that she realized young and got that dream out of the way rather than continuing for the rest of her life saying "What if..." and then starting one when it wasn't so easy to financially recover.

Why do people think opening a business is so easy? What makes them think that all they have to do is put down some money and success will follow??? Like, maybe have some background in *management*. $35K to start a new business? She got in cheap! And how could you NOT know how hard it is to open a small business, to say nothing of keeping it alive after 2-3 years? You sink your fortune and your life into it. You put in LONG hours. You have to do practically everything yourself. You might not turn a profit for a long time. If you aren't motivated, forget it. And even if you do everything right, there's a large chance it'll fail. I've worked at enough small businesses to understand that.

I feel sorry for the plaintiff. It sounds like it got dismissed because her fiance didn't listen and answer JJ' question correctly. She shouldn't have lost because the defendant didn't have proof of how much he paid.
