I'm so impressed with Christine's mental game!! To push through the fear of heights alone is no joke. You both set a goal and killed it!! Well done!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS Dave and Christine on finishing the Beaverhead Ultra!!! Truly appreciate you both bringing us along on your race. I acknowledge the extra effort it took to capture footage while being challenged both mentally and physically during the course. Thank you for sharing those breathtaking views!!

Congratulations Dave and Christine👏👏👏🥳🎉 and thank you for sharing your experience on the day of your run. Wow just wow!!! Now maybe a video talk about how you guys recover from such a run, what do you eat and drink over the next 24hrs hours, resting, stretching, ice baths, massages? What would you do differently and would you both do it again.

Thanks for sharing the race- I’ve enjoyed watching all your training videos for this race. Made me a little sad that Christine was all alone for the race but only finished 30 minutes behind Dave. Insanely great job both of you- thanks for the inspiration!

Enjoyed watching from the comfort of my chair in my house! Understand completly, Christine, the mental strength/ anxiety etc. it takes to hike "on the edge". I've been stretching my fear of heights lots lately in our hikes in AB and MT!

I enjoyed this, but I really wish Christine had not been alone for the majority of the race. It is extremely helpful to have a partner when doing difficult endurance feats, not just mentally, but the safety factors as well. She is a warrior through and through!

My hats off to both of you. Looking over that cliff would be enough to make me nervous. I have done a few crazy things, 2 half marathons and 1 skydive. The half marathons were bearable, but the skydive was unbelievable. The initial going out the door of the plane was the hardest part and the free fall was making me dizzy, but when the shoot opened to a canopy it was heaven. Just like a glider. Congrats to you both of yhou for digging in and finishing.

My last race will be a 5k on 10/29/2023 (my birthday) in CDA. Very excited. I may have to see about training for a 55k in 5 years in celebration on of my 55th birthday! Very inspiring!

Wow!!! You never gave up! I’m afraid of heights as well. I can’t even walk around the block….but I have goals. And I’m sharing this race with my brother in law who lives in Vancouver Washington. This is right up his alley. He ran/walked a 50 mile marathon at Mt Rainer…I think or Mt St Helen’s. He ice climbs in Colorado. He’d like this one. He started training when he was 50 and he’s a rock star. You guys and him are inspiring to me! Way to go! Or maybe it was a 50k. 😅

"I thought it was a 5K" - LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL So I have been watiing for this video so much! Was so nervous for you all throughout watching the video, I donno why :'DDDDDD How is your sister so fit? Does she do these races often? I mean, there are parts of that ridge I am contemplating how safe this race is...scarry is an overstatement. And these broken rocks....OMG nature made some obstacles for this race... Does your watch battery last through the whole race? It seems like a really long time for a watch to work. "It's not an easy race" - Well, yeah, Dave, it's freaking 55 K!!! :D WHAT?? CHristine came in only half an hour later than you guys? WHAT AN AMAZING FEAT! I hope you guys do a sit down recount of the whole race! I know you talked all throughout but maybe a week later you look at it differently. Especially Christine who felt unprepared (I think) for this whole race and has not done it yet.
