I know this story yet I absolutely love hearing it again, for those that haven't heard it yet, the twist at the end is amazing. I'm glad you aren't including the combat chapters because as decent as they are they don't fit the tone of the story that well and they're a little bit too dragged out.

Maybe they really loved Robert E Lee and John Wilkes Booth. Or they all made money off it. Even Abe Lincoln was almost assassinated before taking office in 1861 over stopping the expansion of slavery. Look up the Baltimore plot.

The story is good!, but it is confusing in the battle part; He goes from telling one side to the other so quickly that it is not clear which one is being described.😅

I'm a bit skeptic about the quality of the writing, because it starts in a rather stupid way. you know that the galaxy is full of classist/racist/xenophobic slavers, and you aggravate them all at the same time, knowing perfectly well that they will launch a punitive expedition ? that seems like textbook arrogance and/or stupidity. Even if you have been preparing for years, that is a stupid plan. play by their rules, come up with a casus belli again someone that you can 100% beat, take them in, grow, militarize militarize and militarize even more, until the point where you can blitzkrieg everyone to pieces, not this arrogant BS.
