I’m currently on a mission to learn guitar without quitting this time. I quit after the first day last time I’m a week in a half in now. I came across your video, and this definitely seems like a good practice going to implement this into my play(practice) so thank you.

Thanks you. I'm glad I could help you stay motivated. I can't even recall how many times I've quit when I was starting out. But the best thing is once you get into it, I mean really get into it, then no matter what you do, you'll keep coming back to it. I would first ask- 1. What was the moment that triggered, “I want to play guitar.” 2. What motivates you in general? ie. - The satisfaction of overcoming an obstacle - Positive social response - Learning new things (is it the initial curiosity or the journey?) 3. What’s gotten you to 10 days vs 1? I’ll be honest… it’s a LONG road if you’re not having fun or don’t love the feeling of a guitar in your hands. Something has to click when you finally nail that ‘Seven Nation Army’ riff. But like he said above… guitar players become obsessive once it clicks. It’s a strange thing not seen in other instruments.

Glad it was helpful! I have seen many videos on the same topic but never found anyone explaining why this is useful. That is probably why I never really practiced it enough. But now I know, and now you know. 😅✌️

I have quit many times. I really want to learn but everyone teaches different.. It's hard to get little little from everyone, I will try this and comment again I hope this time works. Thanks man!

Even tho I feel like I've been doing a good job of learning the notes just going over it the way you suggested and then playing something in that key i could really tell the difference I've also been using the Solo app which is very helpful for learning notes and intervals

I use this app that works with a real guitar - it asks me to play a note X on string Y and flashes green/red when I play it. Unfortunately, it is Android only - Guitar Quiz/.
