Hey Brother, quick question: Is it possible to run your own purple teaming business? Is there such thing as blue teaming contractor work? My friend and I were thinking of starting our own Cybersecurity company one day way in the future once we are qualified and I was just wondering if it's possible to even be a blue team contractor, I want to do blue teaming, he wants to do red teaming, so we thought maybe a purple teaming company could be great

It's been a really hard road for me trying to get into CS and even though I'm not there yet your insight is invaluable to me, so thank you again. @@UnixGuy The depth of information was amazing and it was a great way to get into using tools like Autopsy & FTK Imager along with a bunch of others like RegEdit. How the information was conveyed was sometimes hard to digest but I feel like I really got a solid foothold on this path. I have a stack of CompTIA under my belt; A+, Project+, Net+, Sec+ & some ITIL, I know they aren’t the most practical certs but that’s why I appreciate your videos & guidance so much. UnixGuy, thank you for this video! I am currently active duty military in an unrelated field, but I am close to finishing a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Digital Forensics. And while the courses did have some hands on lab work, I felt like this was not enough for my to get hands on experience. These resources and road map you have provided will surely be beneficial as I prepare for transitioning from Military life to Civilian life. You're a godsend. Being relatively new to CySec, working as an ISSO (and sometimes also as a fill-in Sys Admin, hence your point on titles), forensics is the direction I want to move towards but pathway mentorship is been a bit lacking. My question, is regarding the Google Cybersecurity Cert that you recommend. IMO opinion, good training never hurts anyone but in this case I currently hold the CompTIA Trifecta & CySA+ and am about to knock out RHCSA (and maybe also Lin+, we'll see). I haven't looked into the Google Cyber Cert and am wondering if it will bring any new material that hasn't been covered by the Sec/CySA+ and would be more of just a refresher course at this point? Bypass the Google and head into the INFOSEC?

i dont plan on being a practitioner of cyber forensics. i do however want to develop the skills similar or better than people working in the field. basically i am a guy who studies law, and investigations skills and forensics skills can be incredibly useful for a laywer type of person. i also don't plan on being a practitioner of law either. basically i work in a field of work unrelated to both, but due to how much laws are broken on a regular basis within my field of work i need skills of lawyer and forensics and investigators because i can't simply rely heavily on others in those fields i want to gain as much skill that i have as much as possible to increase my success chances. so with that said. do you have any advise on good books i can buy off amazon or any other things to study, any programs i need to use etc.? any other ways i can develop strong cyber forensics skills? im more about developing the skills and knowledge more so than a job or a piece of paper saying i have a degree. i just want to be strong in this kinds of catagories of my skill set.

Hi, UnixGuy! Thank you very much again for the amazing job for doing this video! Truly appreciate it. I would like to ask your expert opinion on 2 questions: 1. Is Python the most suitable programming language for CyberForensic? 2. What level of programming is one that a cyber forensic investigator with healthy ambitions should pursuit? For example, Python basics or Python fundamentals, or Python advanced, or going deeper? Trying to follow your advices and keeping the balance. You truly help a lot! Thank you very much for your self-determination, it is priceless for me and for many of us, I am sure. Have a nice day!

Sincerely thank you! Copied that. Could you, please, share your opinion about two more points: is it a good idea to add EnCase certification to the roadmap in your video or the combination of mentioned RITx:ComputerForensics + Infosec CompForSpez+ INE DigForProf already covers that? Can't afford SANS for now. Also, do modern cyber forensics investigators need something like Comptia Network+ or the network topic is covered enough in the GoogleCybersecurityCertificate and in the other certificates from your roadmap. Thanks a lot in advance, sir. I truly appreciate it. Good luck to your channel and I wish you a lot of inspiration, thank your for inspiring us!@@UnixGuy

EnCase is a very popular software, but I would do that only after you finish this Roadmap, you need to first learn more about forensics and get some confidence and even try to land a job, then you can learn something like EnCase if your job demands doing the certs in this roadmap will cover everything you need so encase will just be another software to practice with
