You guys im so freaked out right now. So i startes listening to subliminals because of my best friend and im actually pretty skeptical on these kinds of things but figured what harm could it do. So i decided to listen to 'perfect school life' and 'good writer' since i'd love that for me. I listened to this ONCE. I wrote a poem dedicated to my best friend called 'the thing about people' for an english competition and thought it was pretty alright. So, i posted it on my IG story. Then, a few days later, one of my previous school mates dm'd me asking for approval for her mom to feature it in an article!!!!!! WHAT OMG

1. A simple one really, but very, very important when you are starting out; do not put undue pressure on yourself. If you start comparing your writing to that of other - published - authors that you admire, then you will be terribly disheartened. Remember that most authors have perfected their craft over time and under the guidance of professionals in the publishing industry. Your first attempts are never going to compete, so don't shoot yourself in the foot before you begin! 2. Try to write as often as you can - just to get into the habit. The only difference between a person who wants to write and writers is just that - writing. No one will ever write the book for you and talking about it won't get it written either. So, do a little bit every day if you can, even if it's just a paragraph. Then, slowly but surely the story will take shape and you will find that scenarios or characters will start appearing on that blank page. 3. Use the active voice whenever possible. Say "Johnny threw the ball," not "The ball was thrown by Johnny." 4. Write what you want. People often say you have to write about what you know, but I don't think this is necessarily the case. Think Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter - not exactly everyday life, is it? Yet as readers, we lap up these stories because they are written from the heart and with a true passion. Whatever you write about, write about it because you want to. Don't try to write about things you think the reader wants to read about, or try to guess the market. 5. Following from above, don't be afraid to experiment in order to become comfortable with your own voice but whatever you do, don't try to imitate someone else's voice - this is self-defeating. 6. Less is more. Say what you mean in the fewest possible words. 7. Don't be afraid to use 'said' when writing dialogue. This is one of the most useful tips I ever learnt in relation to writing and I picked it quite by accident. I was reading a novel in which every second character 'shrieked' or 'yelled' or 'grinned' or 'laughed'. It was very off-putting and really slowed the pace of the dialogue. 'Said' is a word that sort of disappears on a page - the eye tends to skip over it (try it when reading, and you'll see what I mean) yet it serves its purpose. Sometimes, particularly when starting out, writers feel that they have to use their full arsenal of alternatives, when really, all they need to do is write 'said'! 8. Another point on dialogue. When finished writing a scene that consists of mostly dialogue, read it back out loud to yourself. You'll find that if it doesn't sound natural out loud, it probably isn't, and you may need to shorten sentences or sharpen responses. Additionally don't use dialogue to fill in back-story. This is an extreme example but most people wouldn't say in normal conversation. '"Mary, I've known you since we were five years old, when we met on the first day at school when I picked you up after you fell off the rocking horse. Why won't you believe me?" Assuming both parties were friends, then they would both know this, so you would need to fill the back-story in some other way like: 'Sensing her distrust, Johnny was at a loss. He and Mary had been friends since .... and then the dialogue. "Mary, why won't you believe me?"' 9. Read as much as you can and read critically. Study what works for you and what doesn't, but again, don't make too many comparisons. Remember that you are on a learning curve. While I'm on the first draft of a novel, I will not - under any circumstances - allow myself to read another women's fiction novel. I'll read thrillers or non-fiction but nothing like I'm writing myself, otherwise, I get really disheartened despite the fact that mine is still a work-in-progress. 10. Writer's Block - Feeling stuck at times is very common and completely normal. If you allow yourself to get hung up on this, the so-called block may prove self-perpetuating. I like to call slow or 'blocked' phases little speed bumps. You may need some time to think things over and iron out plot points before you're ready to make further forward progress on the story. Still, try to write a little every day despite this. Start another scene or another chapter - you can always go back to the 'blocked' scene later. Or alternatively, you could just do the ironing. If you hate ironing as much as I do, this may well inspire you to get writing again see this guide it was very helpful bit.ly/2Xb8WY1

THIS WORKS! I recommend listening to it while writing! (After her remove blockages if needed)You know how when you write, you hear a sentence in your head? Well i listened to this twice and then moved on. I started writing and then turned this on. IT MADE A SECOND VOICE! It had better suggestions than the first and was really pretty amazing at writing. I literally sat at my desk for a whole5 hours trying to think of a good enough plot to write at least a draft of a story but to no avail as I wasted my entire evening stressing over having no creative intuition but then I listene to this subliminal two times and went to bed and woke up the next morning with an entire plot unfolding in my head all while I was making me bed and so I sat down and wrote an entire story in the span of three hours. I couldn’t be more proud of my self and I’m so grateful to this subliminal because you helped me overcome writers block and saved my final year exams!

Okay, it's been over a year since my last comment. Here's an update; so far I have fifteen chapters written of my novel, ten of which are edited by myself, chapters eleven through fifteen I'm currently editing. Each chapter is four thousand words and I plan on writing five more, which would make it around an eighty thousand word science fiction novel. A little while ago I looked back at chapter one, and I actually really like what I saw. It had been a couple of months since I last edited my first chapter, so I hardly remembered anything that I'd written. Before I used to be incredibly slow. Now I have a goal of a thousand words almost every day, with breaks every other day, and I always complete what I have planned. I have a writing schedule on a calendar, and so far have accomplished what I have within five months. I plan to be published on Amazon soon. I have also planned two sequels. To be an author has been my lifelong dream and passion. I have more confidence in myself than ever now that I can have a fulfilling and successful career as an author. I have the subliminal community to thank, and Miss Subliminals. If you're reading this, thank you. This has changed my life.

@@lolayaiii5056 Yes I edit on my own. I've always been pretty imaginative, but I think more so now. I've always excelled in grammar, but I'm finding the way in which I use words together are more streamline. As for plot holes or any errors, usually they're easy to resolve, and half the time they actually are integrated into part of the story; seemingly random pieces fall into place in ways that I would have never thought of before. I'm a pantser rather than a planner, so that tends to happen, but now it's almost like magic.

I'm writing a gothic story and omg I'm literally scaring myself because it's THAT GOOD. Here’s my gothic short story!! "Witches don't exist!" My Gran's words echoed around my head as the horrific visage stared at me through my bedroom window. It’s mouth closed , and eyes that glowed red. A womanly figure with a gruesome appearance. It’s nose and neck broken, and blood that dripped down the sides of it’s head and long, matted hair. A decayed corpse. My grandmother had been diagnosed with Schizophrenia for 2 years and it only seemed to have gotten worse as time went on. My sister, Beatrice did not understand why our grandmother said such crazy things, or why she acted in the most unusual way. Of course I couldn’t expect an six-year-old to understand much of anything, especially at a time like this. “Grandma is being weird again! Where is mommy?”, said my sister with a worrisome face, as she gripped tightly at my jacket. “She is working, Beatrice. Do you remember what mommy told us to do whenever she goes to work?” I pause and wait to see if she remembered what mother had said to us every night before she left the house. Nothing. “Mommy told both of us to watch over and take care of grandma when she is gone. If grandma acts strange, we go to our rooms and lock the doors until mom gets home. If grandma is sick or needs to be cared for, we take care of her.” Five hours passed since our mother left and our grandmother was soundly asleep on our couch, with 3 layers of blankets we found left outside that morning. When we weren’t taking care of our grandmother, me and my sister sat at the kitchen table and played checkers. But that day was completely different. Where had all the pieces gone? Beatrice couldn’t find the board either. We searched all around the house for that game for a couple of hours and we had no luck finding it at all. A few more hours passed and finally, we gave up. It was dark outside and usually mom would be home before we went to sleep. I thought maybe our mother was working a late shift, so I decided to wait. Beatrice had woken up from her nap, walked over to me in the kitchen, and with a trembled voice said, “There’s someone standing outside the window in the living room.” I made the most regretful decision of my life by walking into that room. I felt my heart drop down to my stomach, and stopped. There’s someone standing outside the living room window. Chills rapidly moved through my body as I stared at the very thing we all thought was imaginary. My body begged me to turn back and escape the corpse’s trance. I stood still and scared for my life. No, I was terrified. “How could something look so human, yet unhuman all at once?”, I thought to myself. My face was up against the glass as I stared into this creature’s eyes, like staring into the depths of hell.. I saw the corpse’s mouth open wide as it immediately lunged toward me through the window, and leaving every piece of glass shattered. My grandmother woke up, and looked up at me as I was about to become this corpse’s meal, and she yelled, “Witch! It’s a witch! Someone help! Where is Donna?!” The corpse let it’s grip of me go. This gave me enough time to save myself and call the police. My mother did not come home that night. I watched my little sister being dragged away that night, and my grandmother torn to pieces. My mother did not come home that night.I had no family left. My mother did not come home that night. It was too late.

I think a lot of my procrastination personally comes from lack of faith in myself and ability to stay focused. Then I'll freak out because of my lack in progress, so really all I've managed to create is a self-fulfilling prophecy sitting around worrying about it instead of just diving right in. I've had many false starts as well. It isn't easy, but it's only impossible if you think it is. Well, I'm preaching to the choir on that point. I think apart from the actual effect of subliminals for this topic, the very fact that these exist have given me confidence to write. My brain makes no sense to me. :D

I honestly hope you read every word and take it seriously... This subliminal is a Lifesaver for me, You won't imagine how scary it is to lose your talent and passion which you rely on is not just a lifestyle but also a livelihood and a way of survival from a difficult life almost looks like a prison, my Passion is back, my talent is back, and my soul has brought back to life through this subliminal you made, I don't feel like a loser anymore, I don't feel like everyone's eyes look at me like i'm a crazy person who missed the chances of life in exchange for sticking to his dream of becoming a writer.. You Literally brought me back to life. So thank u thank u so so much❤️ I'll always pray to you to have all the good and beautiful things in your life because you deserve it.

I just wanted to say that this definitely works :) I've been trying to write lately, but for more than a year, I haven't been able to. So, I listened to this. It's only my second time, and somehow I've been able to write paragraph after paragraph, reconstructing the plot entirely and thinking of something much, much better and way more creative. It flows much better now. Thankyou!

Update: I listened to this + boosters + other writing oriented subliminals. I tried to listen minimum 30 minutes everyday, no matter which sub (I have over 100 on the playlist so I shuffle). I noticed my style of writng has changed rapidly. I managed to get myself books about writing and literature theory for free. I got paid for my writing for the first time. I read a lot more. I had the average of 20 pages a day. Now 80 pages is not a problem. AMAZING FLOW and visualization skills. I always thought I had it but holy crap it's like a superpower now. Ideas. Got. More. Sick. You guys this is crazy, it really works! I am finally able to find the perfect words to express my emotions and I get into that flow state almost every single day since I am listening to this. Before, I never wrote more than a few sentences, now I am spending hours nonstop writing! I had the Idea to write a book and whats even more crazy I found out that the mum of my little sisters best friend is the head publisher and CEO of a big book publishing company in my country. Since my university will be closed until October, I hope I will actually finish to write that book and then ask her if she would take a look at it! :) (PS: I am listening tho this since two weeks, not regulary but maybe every other or every third day. Also, reading books really improves your writing skills! And excuse my English, I'm not a native speaker.)

something random i wrote for school after listening: The young lady sat at the edge of her bed holding a doll tightly to her chest, as the moonlight crept over the lace curtains. The young girl’s curled hair swayed with the wind slowly flooding through her open window, her dress fell to her sides. She knew if her doll could see even it would be in awe while peering over the full moon, shining and blue. The moment felt as if it had been interrupted as her maid stumbled into her room arms filled to the brim with brushes and powders. The noble lady flinched as she heard the cosmetics crash to the floor, which was followed soon after by her maid, priscila, scrambling to place what she hadn't dropped, on the vanity . Apologies of all sorts began spilling from the maid’s mouth, the noble lady couldn't care less of the maid stammering and was lost in worlds of her own searching for a plausible excuse to avoid attending another one of her parents dreadful parties. By the time the lady snapped back into reality it seemed that pricila had finally gathered her belongings, the noble lady glided her fingers over her embroidered name on the dolls dress, “cecilia” read the sewn on letters. Cecilia placed the doll gently on its side and walked swiftly to priscilla, who held out her hand welcomingly towards cecilia. Cecilia delicately placed a gloved hand into the palm of the maid, and was led to a chair placed before the vanity. Priscilla dusted herself off and tried to look as composed as she possibly could while fixing the candle lighting, Cecilia supposed this to be the maids way of regaining her dignity after the embarrassing scene that was her entrance. Cecilia watched as the maid swabbed pigments and put way too much powder on the powder puff. Many curlers and one corset later, Cecilia was rushed into the packed ballroom. Surrounded by murmuring adults, gossiping like school-girls, and so dressed up one might think they where made of porcelain.

Not to mention it's in a language I'm not very fluent in, so I just didn't wanna do it. Then I listened to this one day, in the off chance that it'll help me with my poem. I listened to it then forgot about it as I had other school works to do. One or two days later I decided to finally start on my poem, and it took less than an hour and I was done! That's crazy coz usually it'd take up a whole day or two with dozens of headaches in between! But now it was easy for some reason and I got it down swiftly and passed it earlier than the deadline :D

I’ll update, here is my situation. I would say I’m a pretty good writer, it has always been one of my strong suits. With college right around the corner I have started to think about what my college essays would be about. I’ve been at this for a week or so but started listening 4 days ago (Monday) . Also I’ve been listening to this nonstop. Like all day, instead of music while I write, I play this. Or have it in the background while I’m in class or gaming. Day 1: I had a major break through in terms of figuring out what I was going to write my personal statement on. A bunch of bullet points and ideas that connected to one another. However I couldn’t find a way to put it together. There was no progress on my common app essay. Day 2: I kept working on how to start the personal statement but couldn’t really find a strong foundation. I began drafting my first paragraph. No progress on my common app essay. Day 3: I began to piece the first body paragraph of my personal statement. Figured out ways to make it fit together. A major break through in my common app. The progress has been slow but the detail and the symbolism behind was so good. I managed to get a good 102/650 words. I was excited on where this was going but reached a slump when I couldn’t figure out how to organize and connect the story i was telling with the symbolism. Day 4: I woke up early this morning as the common app essay is due today and to my surprise, I just started writing on the paper. I’m going to edit and add things later on when I finish writing. But, I finally had an idea on how to connect the two things together. I’m going to send it to my counselor later, I’ll let y’all know how it goes.

I feel that I am quite a good writer if I do say so myself, however I think that my skills could use some improvement. I'll update and let you guys know how it goes! Edit #1: I am SHOCKED. I have listened to this on loop while writing and I got so much finished! And the writing was excellent and compelling!

Wow, when the description says that I can type faster it is not kidding. I recently grew out my nails so I typed slower but when I was writing my homework I was able to write it really fast without making any mistakes or pausing.

Wait I'm confused.. The description says listen 30min to 1 hour and if u feel overwhelmed, listen 6 times. That's 72-73 minutes, OVER an hour.

Changing up four/five sentences to show you what writing can do... I ' m b o r e d , d o n ' t j u d g e I hummed a song. There was a breeze through the window. I fell over. I'm FInE. *Changed up version* I hummed quietly to myself as I looked at the floor. My wordless song was in no tune particular. Just an assortment of thoughts discharged into the world through sound. The cold breeze swirled through my curtains, leaving them to flutter helplessly in the wind. Bleak sunlight fell to the floor, illuminating the dust particles that drifted under its rays. I let my body gingerly slump into the delicate surface of cotton behind me. My wavy brown hair brushing past my face as I did so. The world was so quite and content. No problems could be heard anywhere in my mind. _Everything was perfect._
