Hello. I am just curious I would like to reapply this incoming JET Programme 2024 but I am unsure about my reference letter. Can I still submit my 2023 reference letter? And I would like to ask any tip for the statement of physician. Since last time I have declared my PCOS in my application. Thank you. Looking forward for a positive response with my message.

Im currently a full time teacher in America and finishing my certificate program. I also have quite a bit of japanese language knowledge and am planning to take my n5 test this year. I have my tefl certificate as well. I love teaching children as i work at an elementary school. Hopefully i get it because its my dream to teach in japan.

Hi! This video has me 100% sold on giving this a shot. I am a bit concerned, however, as my appearance is far from what I imagine a "good pick" would be for a role that involves working in an educational setting with young people. I'm very heavily tattooed (nothing on my face or neck, but the back of both hands are tattooed so even if I wear a coat, I would not be able to cover up entirely). I have nothing offensive inked (no offensive symbols or words, no nudity or graphic imagery). Will this be a problem?

Hey Chelsea! I really enjoyed your video, and I'm applying this year to the JET Program! It's cool to see someone close to home get in and established (I'm from Orange County lol). Thanks for sharing really nice information. I’m Japanese and I don’t have right for applying to ATL😅 But I want to know detail about ALT and JET program. I think ALT job is very interesting job and also good experience for your life. But sometimes need patients, I think. Please take care of health. Enjoy your day. Thanks again😊

With the yen approaching 157 yen to the dollar the wages seem very low. You get paid less than working for Starbucks in California with minimum wage starting at $20 an hour

As someone from England, I hope that me discovering this at 16 years old and already making up my mind that this is what I want to do will help me close the gap when I turn 22-24. If I take a 4 year course in Japanese studies for a bachelors degree, will that fit the criteria for a "4 year course"?

hello! that's awesome that you've made getting into JET a goal, but it isn't a career! if you're interested in teaching and learning about Japan, this is a great way to explore both, but i wouldn't limit yourself to have JET be the end goal. as long as you have your bachelor's degree, you can pursue any major you like! it doesn't have to be related to japan.

With the yen collapsing I predict that they will have to take who they can get. They will have to lower their standards perhaps to someone with just an Assiciates Degree even in the not so distant future.

you don't have to be a native english speaker, but you do need to have excellent english proficiency and a bachelor's degree! no formal teaching credentials are required to apply

@chelsea, your videos are of nice content. But You're not audible enough. Thanks to the subtitle displays. 👍 HOWEVER, I ADVISE YOU GET A MICROPHONE to improve your video/audio recordings. This may not be in your budget, but it's a good (one-time) investment. The small clip-on Lapel microphones will improve your audio output greatly. I'm also a KZfaqr , so I know these things. Love from Nigeria.
