Thanks so much for your insight!! I belong to severeal groups of candlemaking, I have watched videos, I have books, I bought a kit at Amazon that hasd soy wax and haven't done anything with it because I don't even know where to start!! You introduction about the wick, about experimenting and buying a fragrance that I like because I will be experimenting a lot and it is best to have a fragrance one likes, has opened my eyes. I wish everyonw could explain as easy and as realistic as you have. Again, thanks from Ensenada in Mexico.

I didn’t hear him mention Etsy or Shopify. I haven’t tried Shopify yet, but my sister is trying to get me to restock and try it. She says it’a better than Etsy and in some ways easier to deal with. She has had her own business now for 3 years. I just wanted ti comment and say to make sure you’re prepared and make sure you’re ready to commit before you jump out there. I was afraid I was not going to be able to sell my candles because of the market saturation, so I did not make a lot to start with. I thought it was a lot, but evidently it wasn’t. I chose 7 fragrance oils and made 20 of each. They sold out in less than two weeks . Two fragrances sold out the first day. Thank goodness my sister could guide me! I’m a little overwhelmed at this point and feel like I was not really prepared at all to do this. My sister is already getting requests to reorder, but I actually did not think this far ahead. I just wanted to see if they would sell. I have a craft fair next month (which I signed up for with my sister), so I’m going to have to start over. So if you’re brand new, like I am, you should think about this situation. I binge watched to two KZfaq channels and neither one mentioned this problem. Don’t misunderstand, I am grateful. I wish I had been a bit more prepared. I just never thought this would be a problem.

What do you need to do if you only want to start a wax melt Business. How many different scents should you begin with? Just need more info about this specific type of business.

In your experience do you feel with the IGI 6006 wood wicks work well or one of the eco that candle science recommends? Thank you for this video as well…

I have a fragrance that works really well in wax, great cold throw and hot throw. I used the same oil for a reed diffuser (oil and diffuser base are both from Nature's Garden and oil is compatible), and was disappointed in the throw. I tried it at 25% fragrance oil and went up 50% without much improvement. Any advice?

Hello, not sure best place to ask. But I want to venture into making wax melts for personal use and I've watched a few of your videos. One of the videos you used IGI 4625 with IGI 6006. Given that there are always new products coming to market would you still use that wax or is there something else that you would recommend. Thanks in advance for any insight. Really appreciate your opinion and expertise.

I have a question that might sound a lil off the wall but as far as warning labels, as you know they are usually placed on the bottom of the jar where the jar is not always smooth such as concave or embossed letters or numbers. So my question is have you ever placed them on the inside of the jar lid? Is it even legal to place it there or is the risk of fire a concern considering some people may extinguish the candle with the lid. What are your thoughts?

The moment someone puts the lid on to put the candle out the warning label is ruined.
