I use stainless steel dog buckets, the 1 quart size. You can pick them up for 3.50$ on any good dog show website. You can put a nice label on there and presto, no leaks, no issues and you have a cute dog bucket after the candle is done burning. With stainless steel it cleans up well after your done with the candle. (Yes, I used to show dogs and learned about them through dog showing)

Appreciated this review, thanks for your expertise. Question. You mentioned wax melts in a tin. I have a few sitting idle in the box, 8 oz silver, flat bottom which I really didn't want to use for a soy candle. How many clam shell melts do you suggest to place in the 8 oz. tin. TIA...

Hi Jeff. What's the link to the video that shows how to seal the seam tin. I already got the seam tins before seeing this video 😔 I can relate to everything you said about it coz each time I pour in my melted wax, half of the wax always pour out. I actually thought it's from the production company, I thought it wasn't properly crafted and what I do to make sure I get my wax leveled to the point I want is this; I always have a metal plate-like placed under my tin then after I pour the first round of melted wax in the tin to the level I actually wanted I'd leave it till the following day then re-melt the ones that leaked on the plate placed under the tin and once it's fully melted, I pour it in the tin again I.E the already cured wax

Hi Jeff! As always, thanks again for uploading informative content for us!! Question: I’m having a hard time getting a strong HT from my candles. I’ve purchased your ebook and your method has helped me with the sinkholes and the scent has improved. However, I can still only smell it in one room and can only smell it while it’s burning. Any advice on increasing my HT? I’m using IGI-6006, 10oz with 1oz of fragrance. Melting to 185, adding FO and 175 and pouring at 170 into the ball crystal glass with wicks from a local candle supply. I’ve ordered more wax and a wick sampler kit to see if that helps. I have no idea what else to do lol. Thanks in advance!!☺️

Thanks Jeff, GREAT VIDEO. I admit I recently took tins off of the many options I offer, simply for the fact that I need to do some additional research. I use tins from CS, and I noticed if I have a bunch pre-made and sitting on my shelf (not for very long) they seem to rust around the top. I did notice that this seems to be possibly isolated to citrus type FO's for example lemon and lavender. I also have a Christmas Tree scent. So it's not every one that rusts, but it's enough of a percentage of my scents to stop because I do want an excellent product for my customers. Ever heard of this? Is there anything to do to counteract this? Thanks!

Should these tins burn completely (no leftover wax)? I have been wick testing 6oz tins and i am finding the melt pool is perfect, good HT, but the tin doesn't burn down to empty. There is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch of wax left over but the wick is burned completely out.

Hello, there are those who write that some additional substances should be put into it to make paraffin candles. (Like stearin) Is this necessary for the candle we will pour into the jar? What percentage of fragrance should we put in? Does soy wax or paraffin give more fragrance to the prepared candle?

I set a candle tin on fire Like i was experimenting (well i was just Messing around) i snapped a chopstick in half and put the 2 pieces elevated above a lot candle Then i took another candle and the wax melted idk what i was expecting Then i spilled the was Scraped it off when it cooled and put the candle tin above the fire again then i added the was i spilled back in to basicly undo me spilling and this time instead of trying to move the candle with the molten wax away from the flame i just blew out the candle and let it cool All normal Then i took a empty candle tin and place it upside down It started smoking so i moved it away from the flame It fliped and it was on fire Then i did it again outside this time And it started smoking again but when i fliped it it wasnt on fire so u did it again and left it above the fire longer and this time i didnt even flip it it just catched on fire It burned out like 10 seconds later and the underside didnt catch on fire I dont think this could happen normaly sience it was in direct contact with fire and it was trapping the heat but if this does just happen sience it doesnt spread i dont think its a fire hazzard

I placed an order with Candle Science for tins and the straight sided libbey tumbler and I like both, but unsure about jars. I am part of the DIY group on Facebook and have seen many posts about jars breaking when being shipped to customers, so when I placed another order recently I chose to get just the tins, but I am wondering if I should have added the jars as well to keep both options. Do you have any suggestions on how to package candles well so they wont break in shipping?
