You know, doctors are humans too. People tend to forget that. They can only work with the latest science. We/them are still mapping the human brain and all that is attached to it. Lots of unknowns in the world of surgery. Thank you for being a doctor let alone a neurosurgeon.

Honestly 15 years fly by in the blink of an eye. Even faster when you’re doing something you’re passionate about. To anyone out there with dreams of pursuing a career in medicine, don’t let time be your deterrent; years will go by wether you’re still in school or working retail.

My one twin daughter is a nurse practitioner at Penn State Hershey medical center .. Hershey Pennsylvania on shock trauma /SICU unit ! What I have observed while watching her go through so much training … is the blood sweat and tears involved ! And she has given me a small glimpse at what the residents deal with … no sleep … studies etc etc … it has given me the greatest admiration for all those who give so much to help mankind ! I’m thinking my daughter would just love you !!!! I don’t think the general public realizes the cost … much more than financial … thank you for your dedication to helping others ❤

I could do all that training and schooling and pass but I still wouldn't feel confident enough to go into somebody's brain and mess around. I got to hand it to any sort of doctor of any kind out there y'all are amazing and fantastic and you work so hard to Keep Us Alive and healthy. It must be so rewarding completing every surgery you do knowing that you have saved someone's life or bettered someone's life. I feel like doctors of any kind don't get enough praise as well as dentist and eye doctors and plastic surgeons even.

and the training never ends, as it shouldn't Learning is lifelong...if passionate about learn, knowledge, and helping. THEN, after some time in convention medicine, you spend more money to actually get trained in root cause analysis and bring better care to the patients going outside the system to learn what we should have, within - like gut-brain connection, food is medicine or disease, 'etc'
