Three years ago I went through a tough divorce. I ended up with nothing, oh except all the debt (about $35k) and my awesome kiddo! I was scared! I don't know why it hit me so hard when Dawn said "I don't think you realize how much stress you're living with." It's so true! Until you eliminate it from your life, you don't realize how much of your life and mental space it was taking up.

That intro was hysterical! Two of my favorites! Sometimes when I think of the debt WE USED TO HAVE, I could hyperventilate. I went to bed thinking about it and it was the first thing I thought of when I woke up. I thought of it all day and with every pay check I thought this time will be different. We have been completely out of debt for a while now and I have no stress. Now that I can have things, I don't really care about having them. My only regret is this happened after our kids were out of the house. Marriage would have been so much less stressful if we would have been on the same page the whole time, but now that we are, life is so good.

Literally paid off our last debt today besides the house. Now on baby step 3. The miracles part Dawn talks about it so true. And I’ve been following her for a while now and working toward a minimal lifestyle for my family. The contentment that comes with the Ramsey plan and minimalism is amazing! Praise be to God!

The shampoo, conditioner, lotion, kleenex, etc are included for every day you stay. I am a housekeeper, have been for over 25 years. No one is ripping a hotel off if they take the shampoos, etc.

Great collab! It is so true what Dawn said about we don’t want to have to pay for braces, but we can. I just had to replace my A/C (in FL) and prices are insane now. I didn’t want to spend that much on A/C but I could without worrying about it other than my normal angst of spending money. I actually never had debt other than mortgage - it just wasn’t a thing you did in my family (my sister missed that message LOL) and I’ve always been a saver.
