Recently, discovered David Bedford Beatles docs. Been piecing 'em together slowly. Can only thank you, Mr Bedford. I thought I knew a bit about The Beatles, but you're filling in the blanks which I didn't even know existed. 🎶

@@BrightmoonLiverpool... More compliments, David.... Seems to me, you've kinda nailed what you do. Short clips, informed commentary, at ease presentation and, crucially, engagement with the viewers. It would be a tragedy if you didn't use these attributes to make a good living for yourself, money to put into future productions. Disclaimer -- I'm not a crank, I am impressed... and, thank you 👍

@user-jv2pu4kb7f Thank you. I have authored/ co-authored 8 books on The Beatles and was the historian for the documentary film "Looking for Lennon" too. Also a Beatles tour guide in Liverpool! That seems to keep me busy!!! Thank you again.

Thank you. 4th edition, if it happens, might be slightly different, so that it is a supplement and not a replacement. Possibly 🤔🤣

These comments are critical to preserving the early history of the Quarrymen. David is the foremost early Beatles historian in Liverpool (and now the World). The second half of the Beatles story is built on the Quarrymen's foundation. To know the Beatles you must know Liverpool (and the Brit North).

Just a quick question: given the origins of skiffle, it's ironic in so many ways that they called themselves the Quarrymen. Do you think that, in view of John's facility with words, he intended that?

They took the name from the first line in the Quarry Bank school song, "Quarrymen, strong before our birth" and from the huge stone quarry in Woolton Village. Not sure if they made that connection back then. They all definitely loved the fact that Rock Island Line had the word Rock in it.
