I agree that carefresh is quite expensive but on amazon I’ve just got a 60L bag for $10. I was so glad to find a good deal!!

You should look into selling bedding on your shop :) maybe even little sample packs of bedding so people can try out different ones without spending 20 pounds on a massive bake

Luveegold also she gets a lot of bedding from a local horse supplier and I have none near me, most people nearer the city probably won't

I look after horses, the reason Grazeon is like that is because it's for horses who are prone to colic. Their stomach gets into knots. Personally it's suitable for small animals however I wouldn't use it as it is kind of expensive in the long run, stay away from horse sups and grazers as they can contain harmful bugs or even be grown in the wrong environment. Lovely video, very helpful x

Hi Erin at the moment for my hamsters I use easi bed and for my pigs and buns I use horse woodshavings from a horse supplier and for my gerbils for outside their digging area I use easi and inside I use easi bed hay shredded paper

It’s important to distinguish between types of wood shavings. Pine & cedar shavings can splinter & hurt pets & the fumes that occur when these materials mix with urine can be unsafe. Aspen is the safest wood shaving and the if you you choose to use it, you must be pet quality & not from a wood mill, as additives are unknown from a non-pet source.

I use Fitch bedding at the moment for my gerbils and they are in the detolf at the moment. I have used megazorb to but one of my gerbils had a sore nose reaction to it. And was fine when I changed the bedding. What do you think about Fitch bedding?

I don't think pet store wood shavings are suitable, because the majority are made from pine or cedar which is pretty harmful for piggies' and hamsters' respiratory systems :) In germany though, they have safe birch wood shavings which i love! Thanks erin this video was really useful x

On my country we only have the wood pellets and Pine shavings ( which is a shame ). Other bedding are rarely found

Great video, just a comment about care fresh bedding, I use it for my Syrian hamster. You said that its expensive but I can get a 60Litre bag of the care fresh natural for £16.22 on vet uk website which lasts quite a long time. I used to get the back to nature pellet bedding but the care fresh works out cheaper. If you want the other care fresh colours its £5.26 per 10 litres.

I just bought a batch of Megazorb for my gerbils, but I can see that the grains are quite small, I'm afraid they will start try to eat it? Confusing it with food... I see that you have used Megazorb for years, have your gerbils tried eaten it? Cheers

megazorb has a weird bang of it fitch is fine but expensive, lay soft is unsafe but personally, I would pick aubiose.

Katie Kins You could try buying more tunnels/hides and upgrading their cage. (if you haven't already) That helped with my male trio If they're just on top of each other 24/7 and are just really unhappy and stressed. You should seperate them

... did you not know that grass chop such as readigrass and graze on are feed... not bedding! they are totally unsuitable as bedding. use as a supplementary feed (I give my guinea pigs 1 big handful of readigrass each, once a day). otherwise great video! :)

I've always heard readigrass/graze-on is quite rich and is high in calcium, so if the guinea pigs/rabbits are having it as bedding they are likely to eat it instead of hay and it's not the healthiest for them I don't think. My bunnies get a little handful a day and that's it...

Glad that you mentioned this, it's important to talk about! If their diet is based on dry food and pellets then yes that could be an issue. I promote a diet rich in fresh food, focusing on forage, fresh vegetables etc. This means excess calcium is flushed out. Readigrass is more nutritious than hay , but yes plenty of fresh food is essential in order to feed it without problems associated :)

So sorry for your loss :( Just wanted to say that lay soft is unsafe for small pets as it is made from a mix of softwoods and has non kiln-dried pine in it and just to let you and your viewers know not to use it. :)

Hi Erin, I am a massive fan of you and I was wondering if you can help me. So basically my 3 month old gerbil fell in bleach!
