I notice some ppl using the cooking griddle as a cutting board ...Cutting on a hot cook surface is a BAD IDEA - that's what CUTTING BOARDS are made for.

Doesn't really matter unless the cooking surface is coated in something to make it non stick. Then you don't want the knife scratching it. But if it's just a metal hot plate it doesn't matter.

Im a chef it blunts the knife firstly but also any juices she has sealed in by searing it are gone
