Tom Veigle's (R.I.P.) old place, who also owned Tom's pizza on Aloma at Lakemonte. Where you could get a square slice for 10 cents, 15 cents if you wanted pepperoni. T'was my first job as a kid, making dough. Beefy King is in the Milk district, because TG Lee Dairy was across the street, behind the old Rocking Chair Theater.. The yellow awning building next door was a KFC, back in the day. When you're ready for a real cheesesteak sup, check out LaSpada's on Lee Rd. You won't be disappointed.

I'll have Arby's roast beef. With barbecue sauce. Also the string fries and milk shake. Oh my, goodness.

Try la cantina near the fashion square mall in downtown Orlando. That is the oldest place in Orlando. Been there since 1949. They actually wear the history on the walls quite literally. Dress up for it too as it is one of the better steakhouses in Orlando. Nothing fancy about what they serve just good simple steak and potatoes. No crazy spices, no fancy sauces, just meat and a hot grill. You pay a bit more but it’s worth it. Open only for dinner so be prepared and also watch the room as it can get crowded fast.

I used to work at the 5/3 Bank building at Lake Eola! I would drive down to the Beefy King for lunch!! Love that place!

Next time you are in Los Angeles, try a dipped roast beef sandwich at Philippe's (The Original) if you haven't already. Just across from Union Station on Alameda.

I’m not trying to say anything bad about Beefy king , however if that was an extra large sandwich, I would hate to see what a small one looks like. That is pretty small.

Firefighters were called to the 51-year-old beef-sandwich restaurant at 424 North Bumby Avenue at 1:46 a.m. . Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames. The interior suffered water damage, and firefighters cut holes into the ceiling checking for fire. The affidavit estimated the damage at $3,000. No injuries were reported.

The BEST roast beef sandwich I ever had was in Jacksonville Florida at a restaurant in Arlington called Lums. Unfortunately it no longer exist, but I sure wish it did! You didn’t have to put anything on it the flavor was so good!😊
