this was so much fun I absolutely love bees and as cliché as it is to make the lord of flies more bee theme I still think it works the more you look into it plus the point of theses demons is that there trying to get us to sin so if I saw a giant fly man trying to get me to indulge id run away but a fairy like bee lady OH heck yeah i'm following her anywhere which is why id die XD anyway again do keep in mind I changed the set up for Vivs bee so there gonna be two version this one aka the OG and her daughter renamed Bezie (or princess honey)

I wish the insect characters in the viziepop shows actually looked like insects like I had to be told that vaggy was a moth so it’s cool to see insect redesigns

I also kinda like the idea of the embodiment of gluttony being a bee, a animal that creates food rather then a animal that eats a lot

If I hadn't been specifically told that it was beelzebub I would have thought she would have been a daughter like how Charlie is a daughter of lucifer

This idea works SO WELL, with Beelzebub as a noble who overindulges herself and her subjects for her own gain, and her actually being a fly disguised as a bee to 'bee' sweeter in appearance to trap people in?? GENIUS

My nitpick about the design is not only does it NOT scream "Beelzebub", but the secondary design point she added doesn't swim across well. She said she made Bee's tummy a lava lamp to mimic a 60s vibe, but where. Girl where?! Like Bee's a fun chill party girl, you could have come up with a kind of design you'd see at Woodstock, with the hippie look, a headband of sorts to mimic the chill kind of 'royal' look. Her reasoning for her design choices just aren't lining up with the design itself. She doesn't even look like a bee "hybrid" she just looked like a fox with way too many details. She also said she designed the ears to look like bee hives, BUT THEY DONT??? Did she even try to Google reference pictures of bee hives?? 😭😭

For Bee, I thought no one cared because she was a hell hound hybrid but with her being a fox I'm now very confused??

I do like Viv design but it doesn’t scream beelzubub. Plus there is so much detail it gets overwhelming. and ur right her shape and style is like Luna. I wish they stick to one theme you know. I love ur interpretation of ur own beelzubub. I never of a fly sounds cute! Seems like a demon thing to be deceptive. So a fly dress as a bee is neat. ❤️

The design really makes you think Beelzebub is a cute and adorable momma … she looks so jovial and holds herself together like a certain royalty. Really smart honestly that you thought of Marie Antoinette. but damn your lore for Beelzebub is amazing! I love the ideas you have for her, especially how Beelzebub feeds. I like me some creep factor. (As for whether bee butt or no, I kinda think she won’t need her bee butt? but at the same time, for bee butt to be present, her skirt definitely would be open behind (somehow) for her wonderful bee butt glory. (Ok but the more I type bee butt, the more I’m like, keep the bee butt, it’s cute))

It makes sense for Beelzebub to be dating a hound and not caring. It's in character considering everything around her.

Out of the designs you've done for the seven sins, I think Beelzebub and Belphagor are my favorites. And I can't wait to learn how you tie Cerberus into your 'Helluva verse' AU since he's from Greek mythology.

Dude, I so thought Bee was a hybrid or like, the daughter of gluttony given her look and powers. So many of us fans completely missed the fact she was the queen of gluttony till seeing the wiki or the end credits and that should never happen. She's a ruler! We should know at first glance. And I'm right there with the double standard of Stolas gets called out for banging Blitzo (when his literally only outclassed by rulers of rings) but Bee gets nothing for dating a pet. I do think Ozzie and Fizz's hypocrisy is going to be called out for him slamming Moxxie publicly for romance yet he clearly cares for Fizz and not the fact his bedding him. Least that's my thought.

Many of the background characters are hellhound/imp sonas of the people who work on the show, and honestly I find it cool since this episode is supposed to be the last of the season and the artists joined the party!

I love this design because it weirdly makes me feel like it embodies what the sins should be, enticing yet off putting. Something that you sense is wrong but you can’t help but think about it in rose tinted glasses. This Beelzebub is actually a bit creepy but beautiful to me. It looks real neat

Oooooh I can just imagine her being like a “safe haven” to struggling demons and sinners since she opens her kingdom(?) doors to all. She’d have this sweet Mother Theresa persona, pampering her citizens like “Oh your poor thing! Eat to your heart’s content! Don’t be shy now, or all this food will go to waste!” Maybe she’d have this whole song about pitying their harsh life, persuading them to take this opportunity to finally taste what they never could before, indulge in the luxuries of life before it’s all gone. Maybe she even makes up excuses to deprive them on purpose and make them more desperate? The ones that fall for her trick would end up getting eaten**, and the ones who see right through it struggle to balance giving in to temptation and surviving literal hell. **(Dying in hell is a bit unfair for me since that gives ppl a way to escape this so I personally headcannon that no one in hell can die, they can’t respawn either, but they can be severely injured. So for this, I’d assume every part of them would be eaten all except for the head, leaving them unable to do anything if no one is going give them help. And who would be willing to do that in a place like hell?) Beelzebub may find her daughter (and modern gluttony in general) strange for being able to survive only on the energy alone, but it gets the job done and more demons go there because of its reputation of being the lesser cruel ring that just lets ppl party, so she’s proud of her. And as a bonus- the ones that DO rot due to the overindulgence would be sent to her since her daughter wouldn’t have use for them anymore. Ack- the character’s just so much fun! I absolutely can’t wait to see what Cerberus and Bezie would look like aaa!

I think (part of) the reason that Beelzebub looks so much like Loona is because she's meant to be a very blatant foil to Loona. Loona is a hell-hound, the lowest of Hell's hierarchy, and has trauma that makes emotionally connecting with others difficult due to her time in the pound, even others of her kind. She's basically just begun being treated with respect/like a person, and the strongest friendship she has outside of IMP is another hell-hound she had developed a crush on (who she only met because she was on a work assignment). Loona is awkward at best and nastily aggressive at worst in most of her social interactions-- but is obviously a deeply lonely girl who craves positive connection with others. Beelzebub is Hell Royalty, holding power far above the characters we follow, even the likes of Stolas. She reigns over the Gluttony Ring with promises of pleasure and epic ragers that any denizen would sell their already-damned souls to attend. Bee uses that power to lure in more people to fuel the energy around her for her consumption, but this earns her a highly personable reputation-- making it easy to connect to whoever she wants for whatever use she wants. Beelzebub is not only powerful and respected, but beloved and sought after as a high-energy party girl that anyone would kill to be around! Where Loona is isolated and lonely, Bee is adored and surrounded by hundreds. Loona is awkward and out of her comfort zone at a giant party, and Bee is the doting hostess who connects effortlessly with everyone in the crowd as she walks through. Loona has a crush on Vortex and wants to further a some kind of relationship with him, where Bee already has him as her boyfriend. Idk, that's just how I saw the whole thing. Regardless, I love the re-design, Rococo is definitely the perfect historical fashion to choose in reference to gluttony! I also love the whole bee-fly thing since bee-flies are often parasitic; They fling their eggs into the nests of solitary bees or wasps, and the bee-fly larvae eats the food left for the actual bee larvae, and then eat them too!

To be honest, as much as people hate the design, I really do like Bee from Helluva. However, what you said about it making more sense if she were the daughter of the original sin makes so much more sense as to why she’s not as insect themed as most people expected her to be so I’m really looking forward to seeing the rest of the Glutton Royals! Honestly can’t waittttt

I loved Viv's Beelzebub, her design was was peppy and colorful and her voice acting was stellar. I did think it was odd that she was so obviously modeled after a hellhound, but I didn't pay much attention to it after the second or third watch. Still, I like the idea of Bee being a child of one of the seven princes like Charlie. Which might make her relationship with Vortex less scandalous? I mean, nobody seems to have a problem with Charlie dating Vaggie? This Beelzebub looks so sweet! Maybe in a backhanded, obnoxious way, but very sweet. I like that her colors seem like a more saturated version of Bee's and the dress! The hair! The fur! She's so fancy i love it. I headcanon that she really vibed with the French nobility and that Bee grew up with her mother speaking French around her (something that Beelzebub will still do to scold Bee in front of company without killing the mood of her guests) And I'm not sure how tall she is, but I like to think Beelzebub one of the smallest and most unassuming of the princes. Can't wait for the Cerberus and Bee designs!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't realize Bee was Beelzebub - I thought it was just an oc until I went on twitter and saw people calling her by her full name. She's cute, don't get me wrong, but she definitely doesn't feel like a prince/princess. I like the idea of her being the daughter of the OG Beelzebub and her husband. Ik Helluva Boss isn't going to be lore-accurate, but I find the refusal to do anything more than small hints based on the demons in question really disappointing. Not only because its limiting in both design and storytelling, but because it *boring*. It really feels like we know what we're going to get with every new character, especially the female ones, and I would like to feel like we're getting something new from her.

Here's a fun fact about the demonology version of lord Beelzebub, he doesn't look like a bug base demon at all and more animal base, mostly of a bull in the bible version he looks like a ghoul with wings and sometimes a bull with wings, the lord of the flies or flyers is mostly a title of those who worshipped him and sometimes relate him of being fly base despite it not being fly base at all, not much is known about him but there is quite a bit if you know where to look it's pretty interesting! Also this design looks super amazing, you actually did great on how the ekrons imagined him looking like!!

I usually colored the seven deadly rog g biv style. Red= wrath Orange= gluttony Yellow= greed Green= envy Blue= sloth Indigo= lust Violet/purple= pride Tbh i never understand how pride is red, wrath is orange, envy is purple, and sloth is pink. I understand green being greed because you know of money

You could call vivs bee Bee-trice, kinda like Beatrice but the name is supposed to sound kinda royal or more sufisticated, so when people actually meet her it kinda misleading since she's more of a party teen than a proper princess

Look at this QUEEN! This definitely looks more like gluttony versus Viv's design. Not that I don't like Bee, she's amazing, but if we are talking about a deadly sin, she's what I imagine. So cute!! I kinda like the idea that she goes all Hansel and Gretel on her subjects, feeding them just to consume them... really fits the character.

I've rewatched this video and, as a native French person I MUST talk about this happy accident with the black spot on the bottom of her chin. In french this was called a "mouche" which, in English means "fly", so now you can see that a part of her design is a cute pun

This design is amazing! I love her almost sweet looking (espically the flower on her head) that hides her cannibalistic nature. She kind of reminds of those carnivorous plants that uses that attract insects by uses sweet smells or mimicking flowers. Also, I did not know beeflies exist but the fact you based her on the is genius!

I honestly thought Bezie(love the name) in episode 8 was someone like Verosika, a lower class who climbed their way up through fame. When I found out she was THE Beelzebub though, my first reaction was “…what.” because while she looks pretty as a separate character, she absolutely does NOT fit the theme of one of Hell’s top dogs. I think you making Bezie the daughter of Beelzebub makes so much more sense narratively, and the two can bond over Hot Dogs XD

I think Bees design being similar to Loona is a hint at them being a parallel to each other. Bee is rich, popular, and even dating the guy she likes! It seems planned to me

Believe it not choosing not eat is considered to be gluttony, like for example if a kid eats everything on his plate but they're vegetables because they don't like the taste. if it sounds a bit confusing in Christianity to avoid gluttony you eat the amount of food you need.

I am in love with this design! I love how much you improved on the bee theming and the colours!!! THEY'RE SO GOOD??? With viv's bee I honestly didn't know who it was until someone told me lmao😭😭 Your beel definitely has more of an impact and comes across as a demon princess WAY better. NOW THIS is how you do an artist interpretation of a pre existing lore character. It’s good and unique while still referencing the original lore and being somewhat faithful to it in the design! So much better than the original! This is what Vivze should have done. Now she wouldn’t have had inaccuracies complaints to ignore. Side note I gotta rant Vivze just needs to stop tweeting and learn to ignore her backlash. She always makes it worse for herself by responding to literally EVERY DRAMA EVERY TIME! It’s getting old. Especially with the Beelzebub situation, to where she basically said, “Yeah I know the lore I’m just doing what I want” which yeah that’s not a good look for you. I LOVE IT, the insect parts, the regal look, the butterflies, the idea of she turning into a fly monster, EVERYTHING I also found strange when i saw viv's beelzebub, at first i thought she was an UNDERLING of beelzebub, but then she said satan was like a brother to her, and i was like "uuuuh..." Viv's bee as beelzebub's DAUGHTER makes much more sense, Stolas has a daughter, why the queen of gluttony can't have one? Your Beelzebub gives me kind of a grandma vibe, those grandmas who always says you are "too skinny" and should eat more, but she also has a subtle malice in her, kinda like hansel and gretel witch-like, i imagine she would be like "oh dear, you look so skinny, please, try a little bit of this tasty cake i made, once you start eating you will not be able to stop~" in a sweet voice, but with a second intention in her tone (in her case, to make her victim suited for her to consume, just like gluttony consumes us if we indulge too much on it without restrictions) 10/10 great design, waiting patiently for her husband

I like the silhouette of the dress/skirt without the bee abdomen "the butt", but headcannon the idea of it being tucked underneath the petal dress like a historical false rump for volume and as she continues to indulge it expands like a pannier or hoop skirt, making her seem like a flower opening to full bloom.

Hello, devotee of Beelzebub here! That sigil is also used for Beelzebub, Beelzebub is seen by some as an aspect of Bael, so that is actually the correct sigil, but I completely understand the confusion, I made the same mistake myself when I started researching Beelzebub. Also, Beelzebub, like several demons, was actually once a God from a native culture. Beelzebub was originally called Ba'al Zebul, meaning 'Lord of the high places', and was a philistine God of the harvest, until the christian crusades came long and demonized them, giving them a version of their current name meaning 'lord of dung'. Another fairly common title for Beelzebub, one that I also use, is 'lord of all things that fly', so really anything that flies can be tied to beelzebub, but mostly they are associated with insects, including flies, bees, dragonflies, butterflies and other flying insects.

I super love the finished design! With that aside, the second my opinion was formed, my mind was swarmed with only a single thought racing through it: "According to all known laws of aviation..."

I think it’s safe to say that the more we think about the lore the more questions and confusion will come up. But anyways I love ur redesign and I’m glad u didn’t really change the color palette, since it was the main thing I loved with her original design

Alot of people had a issue with Viv's Bee not being chubby, I don't think that's the issue. Just because she's the princess of gluttony doesn't mean she had to be fat. The problem is the design just doesn't make sense. Like at all. If we weren't told that design was Beelzebub then literally no one would know. She looks like just a normal hellhound but with the colors of a kaleidoscope. The problem isn't that's she's skinny, the problem is that she's ugly and doesn't scream "Beelzebub" in any way.

I've noticed that Vivzie makes the princes as some sort of performers. Lucifer is a ring leader, Beelzebub is a pop star and Asmodeus also performs in his episode, I wouldn't call him a teaser though 🧐 Anyways I think if you think about these aspects, their designs make more sense, albeit could still use some polishing

11:50 reminds me of a mellified man! When elderly men would get close to the end of their life they'd just eat honey only until they died and then their mummies were steeped in honey for a hundred years before being eaten as medicine. I learned about this from a book called "shift" which is about how bodies have been treated after death throughout human history edit: I just remembered there's a lemon demon song about this too, "Sweet Bod" lol

Do you think you'll ever design her daughter? A more direct take on redesigning current show's beelzebub? I feel like that would be very sweet, you're beelzebub has her own parties while HH canon beelzebub has her own version, opening it up imps, hell hounds, etc alike! I think this would be a good idea to show us an example of a healthy family in contrast to some of the ones we see on the show.

i know this is 10 months old, but i had the thought so i gotta leave a comment: Given the old lore of [and this is a very shortened/watered down version] B having originally been Baalzebul and later getting forcefully renamed to Beelzebub as an insult to not only B themself but also B's followers: Maybe Viv's character IS Beelzebub and can still be the daughter of YOUR character, who could be named Baalzebul!

Just sounds fun describing her in my head with words alone as she gives me this foreboding sense of uneasiness. She is just too sweet and regale, pun not intended, with a flare of mystique that set my story driven mind to absurdity like a bottle of shaken fizzed up soda with mint's. Ok; Headcanon! I imagine the sins (LIke Ozzie, Lucifer, Mammon, etc) can own souls like the overlords in the Pride ring can! However, the sins have different views on showing them off... Like Mammon would be the most flashy with it (bc he will extort them for more money), while Ozzie is the most secretive of them (since he actually believes in consent and doesn't want the souls he owns to get hurt. Oh, and the souls the sins own can freely travel between the rings like the sins can (we see this with season 2 episode 7 when Ozzie travels to Greed to confront Mammon)

This take on Beelzebub reminds of a character named Big Mama from a series called "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". With the coincidence being their looks can be quite deceiving

I headcannon your Beelzebub uses sticky honey to trap her prey and then slowly eat it in front of other terrified victims, like a massive wall completely covered with terrified demons that can't move, and if they don't end up as her food then the wall will make sure they end up as the honey Beelzebub uses for her products (like the mead/alcohol Verosika often drinks). Also her villain vibes are impecable i love her so much! (On another note, will you do a video adressing the world building of the show?, it's getting messier with each episode.)

I love both the beta and final designs The final one definitely fits the vibe of an evil citizen eating fly disguised as a bee. The beta one looks like a bee equivalent of a goetia. I absolute love the colors we were given for the rings! And me too! I didn't know she was THE Beelzebub so thank you for also being confused Personal op on eps 1. Song was good but the lyrics were very unbalanced (I hated the cotton candy line) 2. Weird pacing. Loona ep, sure. But very confused on Loonas emotions. Including when she got picked up the emotions were weird. The 2nd half of the ep was good imo 3. Aspects of Bee are really cool. But! Her hair and outfit gives furry oc, not a ruler of hell

OUGH I love your Bee! I really love the concept of a fly disguising itself as a bee to appear more friendly, thus making it easier to catch their prey. Personally, I think I like the design a little bit more without the bee booty(even if it's cute), but oh my god I love the colors! I love the warm pinks and oranges with flashes of electric blue! In general it's really cool seeing a more insectiod character in Viv's style(og my god why are there so many dogs and imps/humaniod characters Viv shouldn't there be more bugs yes I know Angel Dust exists but can't there be more-) Great job as always :)

Wow! You did an amazing job on this one. She looks very beautiful and not at all like the betrayer of her people you told us she is. I love the more insect inspiration you have for her, too. Can't wait to see what you made Cerberus look like. Keep up the great work. 💕

Honestly, I love Viv's Bee, aesthetically speaking That said, when she first appeared, I too thought she was just the party entertainment but then I put two and two together and went "OH that's Beelzebub??" I loved her colors, her voice, her songs, and her powers of just enlarging food or making it out of thin air She quickly became my favorite even though she had....problems I had a problem with her public relationship with Tex, but also the episode in general It felt more like a filler episode rather than a finale episode and there were subplots that made me forget what the actual plot was But your Beelzebub looks so incredibly fluffy!! She looks like she'd have the Marie Antoinette voice from the Peabody and Sherman movie tbh and I LOVE that! Also Cerberus as in "Hades' three-headed guard dog for the Underworld" Cerberus? I'm very interested in how he ties into the Christian lore given he's Greek Have a wonderful day or night, wherever you are in this beautiful world!!!

I can honeslty relate about not the Bee was the ACTUAL sin of gluttony. I thought oh shes a performer and is probably a mix between a hell hound and idk fly demon but NOPE shes the king of flies! Like the other princes I can figure out what sin they are but I cant really do that with Queen Beelzebub.

Evertime you post a new video I get very excited! I was waiting for your take on the episode after it dropped. Anyway, Bee's design wasn't bad but If i didn't know she was Beelzebub i would had tought she was someone else, honestly I didn't pay a lot of attention to the details in the episode. I really love your reimagined version! She looks like a sweet mommy bee, I would definitely fall for her.

This looks so bee-autiful And honestly, I’ve been think about making my more bug based characters have more bug features (I wanted to try and make a humanoid firefly. I think they’re cool and kind of cute) so this is a great source of inspiration 😊
