Got to learn lot. There is so much in history. Our NCERT book have very little about Maratha, sikh, rajput, Ahom, chola, vijaynagara and many other great Indian empire. Through youtube many people are getting to know about all this empire. Hope you also make video on India before islamic invasion. Video on Chola, pandya, gupta, maurya, magadha, mahajanapadas, satavahana, khushan, pallava, rashtrakuta, chalukya and others.

@@Horizon429 You need to proper study first entire establishment Swarajya then put wrong statement and controversy statement. Rajput know if they support marathas in panipat. If mughal return back after war, not get immediate supply from Martha's against mughal not possible due to distance. Marathas realise rajput insecure with geoposition so that's the reason making good relationship small hindu raja rajput taking charges to making powerful on North india side.

@Focus you are right, since the Akbar times, Rajputs (except the great Rana Pratap, his discendents, and Mewad) filled Mughal janankhanas with their daughters to kept their palaces and wealths. Even after the defeat in Panipat in 1761, Marthas regained the entire region by the end of the decade, even the Delhi.

In 1680 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj died in 1681 Aurangzeb came to Deccan and started a war with Marathas, Aurangzeb died in 1707 in Aurangabad this 27 years Marathas faught with Aurangzeb by remembering the teachings given by shivba this is what she meant

I really enjoyed this series, I am an American guy married to a Marathi. I find this history extremely fascinating. I loved how Shivaji scratched his kingdom from nothing but pure determination! I would be a lock if you had more content from Bhaskaran Madame, I have a lot of respect for her after hearing her speak on Shivaji. She really carries on his true legacy on equality for the oppressed people that I find a lot of that today has been lost in India. Thank you.

Sarsenapati Hambirrao mohite was a great warrior. It was a tradition in Marathas,in battlefield if you kill 100 enemy soldiers one flower like star was engraved on the sword,on the sword of Hambirrao mohite there are total of 6 stars (He had killed 600 confirmed kills).The same sword is still kept on pratapgad.

@@preetir4235 Yes,it is still on pratapgad fort. You should also search about Yesaji kank,Baji sarjerao Jedhe,Murarbaji Deshpande,Baji Prabhu Deshpande,Kanhoji Jedhe,Netoji palkar and many Outstanding Maratha sardars. You will surely develop an interest of study for the Maratha Empire.

@@preetir4235 You should visit forts in Maharashtra. Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj also maintained navy. "Sarkhel Kanhoji Angre" was called as Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj of seas". There are more than 380 forts in Maharashtra and each fort has footprints,battles involving Maratha Empire.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was strict vegetarian and lived a saatvik (सात्विक) life like a Rishi. He is thus called last Raj Rishi (राज ऋषी) of Indian subcontinent. 🙏
