One of the most exquisitely written of all Beethoven's Sonatas. He said so himself. To his publisher he wrote (roughly translated): "This Sonata is is apple pie order". You have captured the spirit and light rippling brilliance so well Valentina. Thank you.

Thank you for saving my sanity these last weeks. My 8 year old son has adored you for a few years, we even saw you in Prague (but had to leave at intermission since it was WAY past his bedtime!). He calls you “Teta Valentina” ❤️ For his “music class” at home, we watch you a LOT, and then he tries out some of the pieces on our piano.

Ciao Valentina, wonderful performance and wonderful choice of tempo too in my opinion. Rarely I've heard such a brilliant Beethoven but also so poetic. Somebody can express different opinion but remember that it is the destiny of artists (and not only artists) with remarqueable personality: to divide opinions. This is something to be proud of , I believe.

Adore this sonata! Enjoyed every second of it! I realize this is likely a very wonderful instrument and the recording space is massive with good acoustics, but I'm impressed and taking note of the wonderful runs in the first movement that you played without pedal. They come across as wonderfully crisp but rich. Good lessons for an amateur pianist working on Op 7!

Man isn't it astonishing that there are so many forgotten Piano Sonatas Beetohoven wrote and only 10-20% of his works are the most popular? LOL 😢

It's funny because beethoven highly regarded this piece as being the "best sonata" up until that point - it is such a bewildering success as a sonata in the High Classical tradition. In fact, I think almost all 32 of his sonata's could be regarded as masterpieces (with the exception of op 49, 1,2, op79, op14) - it is quite a shame that only a select few of them (mainly the named ones, pathetique, moonlight, appasionata) are the most popular, when so many of them are so underrated and ingenious in their own right, particularly the last 5.

Playing this many Beethoven sonatas... In your mind.... Is it still easy to switch to Mozart... You are allmost a beethoven concentrate....beethoven in heart and soul.
