Oh wow! Some people just post a picture. Now I can practice reading scores. Thank you very much. London sure plays fast. Does anyone here think that they are sharp too? It's probably just me. I'm no expert.

8:33 Every instrument is marked triple-forte (fff)! This is something you'd see in Mahler or Shostakovich, but not quite as much in Beethoven. (The coda of Beethoven's 7th symphony also uses triple-forte, twice!)

I love how he uses that motif to lead into this wonderful section at 4:32 and climaxes at 5:28

I think it is Beethoven best symphony: No long and boring slow movement, very pleasant, entertaining from beginning to end and 100% pure Beethoven.

Based but the slow movement and its dynamics are very important. The Marcia Funebre from the Eroica is majestic.

La grandeur de Beethoven me semble de n avoir jamaiss été influencé dans sa poétique par les ors ,les marbres et les manières qu il côtoyait professionnellement. Jamais,sauf ici,ou j ai l impression qu il s amuse a les vandalisér avec une frénésie bolchevique. Du moins dans les deux premiers mouvements,acquérant la liberté d être sain rustique et gai dans les deux derniers. .

La 7 et la 8 ne s opposent pas moins que la 5 et la 6: dans les finails,on a le rite,l obscur,la terre ,l archaïque et son pendant la loi, d un côté- de l autre,la danse,la fuite dans le sourire de son alter ego,l aperçu sur le ciel et la confiance enfantine en l avenir. Wagner à fait infiniment de mal au sens critique (et de bien,helas.au conformisme et a l intimitabilite)avec son "apothéose de la danse"qui se trompe de cible! ..
