This is the clip I had to watch when I found out Gilbert passed. One of the funniest moments in the shows history in my opinion. Gilbert was such an incredible gift to the world and Howard Stern in particular. What a terrible loss. RIP.

I was dying laughing at this, but at the end when Beet was saying I’m like everyone else it made me sad. I finally realized he knows everybody’s making fun of him all the time and he doesn’t like it. I don’t know if it’s right or wrong to laugh at these things, but what I do know for sure is the world is a greater place for having Lester Green in it

Totally disagree, he's just in a bad mood. & besides, this appearance was pretty tame; just trying to make him laugh/smile/provoke him w/ dumb jokes. Most times they're clearly trying to upset him because he's drunk/drinking & that's, sadly, kinda Beet's shtick.

Beet is the kind of person that chooses to walk in with a smile despite understanding on some level people are fucking with him, but some days he can't keep it up and you get crying and angry and hostile Beet, he's got a good heart i've known this type of person before.
