Let's try this Ear Training. I will ask you what type chord progressions. Like 1 4 5 or 1 6 2 5? I will explain details in this video. It's gonna be fun. I will ask you 3 types chord progressions in two different keys so it's gonna be a little challenging. This way you will gain a great relative perfect pitch! Good enough?

Thank You so much for sharing Tomo! I really liked this ear training exercise something I practice over and over, this is a must for me as a song writer because I have to be able to hear what key to start my song in before I start recording and not to waste time and prevent voice strain. I really like the sound of that guitar you were playing for one pick-up wow! such great tone! Thanks again.

SUP! Tomo San! Thanks man. I was practicing acoustic and switched over to my electric when I saw this to enjoy your lesson. Music theory is starting to make sense for me. Even at 3 years on keyboard now, I am still trying to get the AHA moment when it all makes sense (laughing). I can read and play songs but still trying to put it all together. Positive thoughts coming to you and your family. Cya next time.

great uncle bob died a while back but he grew up in the great depression, I saw that you pushed down on the b string above the nut, he cut his b sting and twist it back together above the nut and it gave the b string a different vibration. We have so many effects these days that we forget where they came from.

6 of 524 3rd garde students had natural relative pitch. We were handed violins to play. They never understood. I never heard it. I felt it. Something about waveform harmonics. It's a viseral reaction. It's hard to explain. Like focusing a flashlight to see something. Focus Hearing to a single voice in a choir. Focus an ear to a single note. No matter the cacophony. Saying notes out loud while playing lots and lots of scales. All help to learn Relative Pitch perfectly. Close your eyes and listen. Great Fun lesson Master Tomo.

@@TomoFujitaMusic Very true. If I hear a note I know about where it is on the strings and can generally duplicate it. But I don’t know what the note is until I find it. However, I’ve always been able to tell how far a note is from another. Relative Pitch. For some it is easier than others. The more they relax, close their eyes and listen the easier it is. I have lost much of it 50 years later, but by improvising and just playing and practice everyday it keeps working. As Bach said "the notes please the ear".

1:45 - 2:15 in video, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - If You Leave. Love that song. Shows you how old I'm am! Lol! Thanks for sharing about your electric guitar!!! One thing you should give a try on your guitar is take the open E, A and D string. Place a guitar pick in between the three and put it in front of single coil pickup or to almost in the middle. Tap on them alternatively like the beat of drums. On some of my songs, I like to incorporate that in. I'm playing the lower 3 strings like bongos or drums and the top 3 strings playing a rhythm or a lead. I use that every once in a while if it is warranted for a song I'm creating. Try that out and make a video of you trying it out on your guitar that you're playing on. You'll get some nice bongo beat flavor added to your music and I bet from that guitar you're playing on. I love the clean sound with the chorus you're getting out of that guitar! I would love to play on one of those guitars but I have one problem....I can't add anymore into my collection. I've got 20+ guitars already. It's a disease for me and I've been trying to be good on not buying anymore Cars and Guitars. LOL!

I love the do rei me because it simplifies the language. I still have the tendency to say the note. Intead of the number . Lol, i just started learning the minor stuff. I had A major and minor reversed. It turns out i love minor chords, too. Man, i think i need lessons. There's a jazz guy my dad knows. Walt bibinger or something? Or at least get a book. I want to learn to read this stuff. internet is often very wrong. It's embarrassing when you want to verbalize something, but you don't have the correct terminology. I've never wanted to learn something more in my life.

Yes, thank you. I meant when I play an A barred, im actually playing a minor... and when im putting with my middle finger on the 6th fret, im playing a full a. I did the same with the g, and I don't always pay attention. I look i make shape, and that's all i think about. I can be hard on myself. I just don't have anyone to say, "Hey dummy, you got your wires crossed. I don't always look at the whole picture. Thank you. You're always very kind. And it's 8 o'clock and my guitar isn't here yet! I spent the money on a real tube screamer. I can't always be cheap. I truly always appreciate your help.
