In this beginner friendly video I will show you how to create a beautiful layered effect using negative painting. You will learn how to see the shapes and use it to your advantage.

MATERIALS
Paint:
* SAP Green
* New Gamboge
* Burnt Umber
* Paynes grey
Brushes:
* Big round brush
Paper:
* 300g Canson Heritage Cold Press
Other stuff:
* Pencil and eraser
* Water and tissue

This is one of your prettiest paintings! I especially love the warm colors and the way you created so much interest around the leaves. Adding the veining at the end was the perfect touch! Negative painting is one of my favorite techniques-I’m going to give this color combo a try. I love your SkillShare classes! Thank you! 😺
