I can finally share what I have been documenting since March this year, growing flowers in a raised bed! Now I know, this may not sound like much but we live in a rented apartment with no balcony so when our landlord asked if I wanted one I said 'yes please'!
I grew some flowers in there last year, but I planted directly into the soil in June I think, so not much grew. This year I learned a lot but I'm still a complete beginner :-) My favorites to grow were definitely Zinnia and Rudbeckia. The cosmos is my least favorite, they'd probably do better in a garden. Plus they get huuuge!
I ran into some challenges this year, the biggest one being that the landlord decided to start installing geothermal heating and had to drill a huge hole into the ground right next to my raised bed. I was able to cover the flowers but oh man, there was mud and dirt everywhere! Nowhere to be seen in this video (well, you can see actually some of it next to me around 3:50) ;-)
I hope you like it!

• Carrot Cake with Lemon...
I baked the cake in a 20 cm pan for 45 minutes and used a bit more cream in the frosting, probably around 120 ml (1/2 cup). Other than that it's the exact same recipe!
