I made lilac-infuaed vodka (& lots of it!!) last year after my husband pruned copious amounts of flowering branches from our lilac bush/tree. It was definitely not yummy as i was expecting but still felt infused with the magic of lilac to me so i ended up using it in mixed drinks which worked out fine. Can't wait to try lilac syrup, thanks!! 💜

Beautiful colors! Beautiful camera work. The lilacs are scheduled to bloom next week. I'll try making it.

Trying this for the first time so I hope it turns out OK. I didn't have blueberries but I added a couple butterfly-pea flowers for color. Will turn nice and pink with the lemon juice

This is BY FAR the easiest, most ingenious way to make any kind of floral syrup! Just add syrup to steep the flowers! Also, this is one of the most beautiful videos I’ve ever seen.

Made them again, this time I added raisins and dried fruit that had soaked for a nite in orangeblossomwater and a drop of almond alcohol. I added the drained fruits after rolling halfway. At that moment I also added poppyseed !!!! Thank you for making us cook. I will go travel thru your recipewebsite, see if there is another delicious adventure awaiting. Merci.:-)

Glorious recipe filming. I switched a lot between the recipe on your blog and the video. With the fresh yeast and almondmilk the quantity of flour definitely had to be mor e important. It got verrrrry sticky and it was scraping the roll off the worksurface. But of course, thanks to you I hzd my round of kannelbullar all right. Delight.

Hello! Planning to make this for Thanksgiving. If we don't have flakey salt do we leave the salt out since the butter is salted? Also, I have a new convection oven. Do you know the time/temp difference? Everything I bake gets burnt/dried out 😅

Broooooo been looking for this recipe for so long and your video is just perfect. Im making the cake, Ill updated later Sorry im back. I demolished it.. it was too good. Imma making another one. Pro tip : put less cinamom, grind the seeds of a fresh cardamon seed with one clove et grate some nutmeg in it. You can sub some of the white sug for some brown for a morr moist cake. Thank you so much for this recipe!

With cooking it becomes brown. And it seems rather weak. I used 5 liters of loosely packed flowers and 2 liters of water. More than double the concentration you had. I would describe the taste as similar to apples. I like these flowers. They look and smell very nice every year without tending. The dark red ones open later after the pink ones are already done.

Maybe I'll try again soaking at room temperature. I heated the product into almost golden syrup, and it is not bad. It has more fruity flavor than a simple syrup with just a citric acid.
