@@JamieFenn hey I tried your settings my audio sounds great on my computer. But after exporting and listening on my phone speakers. It rounds terribly trebly and tinny. I've listen to this video on my same phone and the audio sounds way better than my video. I've always had this problem. Ive played around with the export settings a ton but I can't get to sound as full. I'm not sure if I mixed something wrong in the side chain but I've followed so many tutorials that are the same but I can't seem to get it. I dunno if it's a hardware issue or not. I use a MacBook pro M1. Please help!

@@JamieFenn One more thing, can you please tell me how to get the audio right for Instagram Reels? I've tried all these settings, and my voice and music are still below average, not coming close to how they sound in Resolve or when exported. I tried AAC, 192 Kbps, -1 true peak, and -16 LUFS, and converted all tracks to mono in a single bus and exported that one. My 1-minute video is about 100 MB, so once I uploaded that as is, and another time I uploaded the converted FFmpeg version (~20 MB), but still, my audio is distorted. :( And the sources for audio i picked mp3 for music and .wav (full clarity) for voice. Please help. 🙏🙏🙏 Please let me know if there is something that i missed or dont know.

Good one Jamie. I use the Fairlight tab for pretty much the same things for voiceover in my videos. By the way, not sure if you mentioned it, but could be worth for others to save the preset on the Vocal channel for future videos, so that they don't have to re-adjust all the voiceover settings as well. And, the last part of your tutorial where you showed the cross fade and equaliser combo was a great tip. Didn't know about that, and it makes a great effect! Thanks bud 👍

@MSVISUALS
@MSVISUALS Жыл бұрын
I really love your tutorial, but one thing confused me a bit at the end. You can get rid of the pumping effect by tweaking the "hold" and "release" times, so that the music keeps being compressed between the words. Especially if you often switch between parts with voiceovers and parts with no voiceovers, you can definitely save the time for the volume adjustments because the side chain will do that automatically for you. 👌
@JamieFenn
@JamieFenn Жыл бұрын
It just depends on the original audio signal. Sometimes people talk fast or slow, and how quick you want the audio to come back depends on those hold and release times. Hope that clears things up!
@jopterms
@jopterms 8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the tutorial; it was helpful. However, I noticed an issue in your final A/B testing at 12:22 . Both sounds should ideally have the same volume for a fair comparison. Yet, the treated sound appears louder as evident from the peak meter 12:30 . This makes it challenging to judge the results accurately.

@@JamieFenn Hello and greetings. So when I look at this again your explaining voice is clearly louder than your sample where you explain the settings. @@JamieFenn word, completely agree. Every YT tutorial on Fairlight does a EQ, Dynamic Processing, Effects, etc on a single audio track with one voice.
