Very helpful video Jacky. You showed the searching process for enrollment (and why I can't use VSB). I am going into Year 1 Engineering. I have all my mandatory courses saying enrolled in Ramms. Do I still have to be adding those to the cart like you did for the CPS courses or is that different because you are in 4th year? So far I have added my liberal to the cart. Thank you!

In terms of prioritizing things on enrolment day, would it be best to first enrol in any electives and once that's sorted out, move on and do any swaps?

You can as long as there's no conflict, however the tuition fee is only the same between 5 and 7 courses!

In my weekly schedule, I noticed that for some classes, once a class ends another one starts immediately. Should I swap the classes for a different time or should I leave them alone?

You have to keep refreshing until it says open if you really want that time!

I'm a first year for RTA Media Production and I have 4 required courses assigned and I can choose 1 liberal. Can I enrol in any extra courses without it costing extra? There was another class I was interested in taking.

Yes you can take electives this semester, people usually take 5-6 courses! Make sure to enroll in an elective on your enrollment day!

if your making a swap for example i want to change my GMS 200 time to another day with another prof. and i add that section to my shopping cart and see that it is closed/full do i just keep it in my cart and keep trying to swap on august 10? not so sure how that part works

Ya if it's closed, you have to keep it in your cart until it's open again. You can only swap when the status says open (with a green circle), hope that helps!

Excuse me, I did manage my courses through vsb, and added into the cart but some courses status are “closed”. Should I delete it and reselect those courses?

Closed means it's full, you can leave them in your cart until it's open (means there's space). You can enroll after it's open!

Hey, I'm enrolled for some first-year courses in Public Health and I went on the VSB and I'm un-pinning the courses yet there are no other generated results. For ANY of my classes (1/1). All my classes are jam-packed with labs and lectures on Monday and Tuesday, whereas Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are empty. Any advice? Is this because my courses don't have any other times at all? I tried manually checking as well...nothing popped up as an alternative time.

at the bottom of my legend it also says: "Unfortunately, all of these scheduled results overlap the personal time when you do not want to have classes, but the first results have the least amount of overlap".

Your courses probably don't have any other times so you can't swap :(

If you use the swap function as shown, it will not drop your currently enrolled course until you are off the waitlist (enrolled in the new course).

Bro please help me with the situation.... i am an international student, and i have paid my tuition fees. I want to enroll for the online class in ryerson university. I didnt get the visa yet but hopefully i am gonna get it within 10 to 15 days. So what is the procedure if i have to join online class without visa and what will be the reduction in cost if i am switching to virtual classes temporarily in this pandemic?. This video was best btw, it taught me every single thjng i needed to know about ryerson...

If you don't have any electives first semester and you're fine with the current schedule, then you're good to go! No need to go through enrollment cart!

Hey there! Thanks for the video, it was really helpful. I am a first year student, and I was enrolled in only 4 classes. Is that okay? Also, with my transfer credits, I was able to satisfy the requirements for 2 courses and 2 lower level liberal studies. Does that mean I do not need to take any electives this fall?

Yes I guess you don't have to take any electives this Fall! Enrolled in 4 classes is fine as long as it meets your program calendar requirements!
