@@yga Well I'm currently trying to get started on electric guitar which is a whole new confusing world after years of acoustic strumming and fingerpicking. What I struggle most with is finding the right notes on the fretboard, especially higher up the neck, and getting my hand to do a proper vibrato motion. I guess Lead Guitar Beginners is the place for me to go :)

Could you please kindly let me Know (in detail) what are the gears that you are using as i would like to buy the same pedals and the drum machine. What each pedal does and what is the function and potential of the drum machine that you are using. Kindly advise.

The pedals we have here are: -TC Electronic Ditto (Looper) -Xotic BB Preamp Plus (Overdrive) -TC Electronic Hall of Fame (Reverb) -TC Electronic Nova Delay (Delay) -Boss Tu-3 (Tuner) I'm not sure of the drum Machine but there are many App or Drum beats available online to use which are much easier than a drum machine :) Hope this is everything you were after! -Cam

Thanks for this great lesson. To improvise you always have to play the notes of the pentatonic in the correct order and vice versa?

Hi Ronald, no not at all! The pentatonic scale notes are a great little road map to start with, but you can experiment and play them in any order or timing you like! Follow the course fro the start and you'll get a clearer idea!

How do I choose the correct pentatonic for a chord progression and vice versa?

A good start would be to choose the pentatonic that is the same as the key of the piece. For example if playing in the key of C major I could happily play C major pentatonic the whole time. The next level from this would be playing a pentatonic based on each chord change. :) - Cam

i try so hard, even in a slow pace yet i often pick the wrong string and i get really frustrated. i can do alternate picking gradually moving up and down, but i still have a very difficult time doing it in random patterns. the plectrum gets stuck or lost most of the time. how can i get over this?

Good question! I would suggest two things - the first is that you may want to take a few steps back - tell me, have you been through the lead guitar beginners course from he first lesson and completed all the lessons up till now? Secondly, have you considered hooking up with one of our online tutors?

@@yga I did took back a few steps cuz I realized I'm skipping a whole lot of fundamentals. I'm actually taking your beginner's finger gym course! I'm currently on level 2, just wanna make sure to build up the skills I need before going into the beginner's course. I got really frustrated improvising so I took another step back. And no sir, I haven't considered consulting with one of your tutors but I would love to when I'm financially stable!

Alt. pick in one string, same tempo for five minutes a day. Then run 3 notes a string either running up pentatonic or just any diatonic scale. Over time the jumps will feel natural

Been playing guitar for a long time but I am confused about pentatonic scale. My solos are bland and I end up playing the same shit. and isn't pentatonic scale 6 note scale instead of 5. I counted up an octave and it's 6. Am I crazy or what?
