As Adam Savage wades through a pile of original blueprints from MythBusters, he explains who drew what, how they needed to be drawn to make sense for filming, and why there are, er, stains on some of them. It's QUITE a walk down memory lane!

God as he was naming episodes I could remember watching them, the room the TV and then the next day discussing them with friends at school about ways “we would do it better” because that’s the kind of confidence you have when you’re in middle school and have no engineering knowledge. Devout watcher of Mythbusters and the water heater experiments were always my favorite ones. I recall how speechless Adam was when it exploded and went skyward. I never missed a new episode on Wednesday(the new episode day at that time). I love to learn and experiment, and I also have a TON of questions about the possibility of some of the things I see in TV and movies. I had a rough childhood, and Mythbusters was a release for me. I'm from uruguay, we had mythbusters around noon. Our schools either start at 1 or end at 1. I remember sitting there glued to my tv watching you guys do so many amazing things and work through the scientific process in a fun and interesting way! I believe hammer jump was the first episode i watched from mythbusters and it hooked me in. I remember having learned about surface tension not too much before that (i always did a lot of reading about science even in primary school) so seeing that principle tested to the extreme was fascinating and it hooked me. In the best way possible, this is painful to watch. You can feel so much from Adam every time he opens a new item. There is so much nostalgia for us, as well as him. So much pleasure, wonder, discovery and enjoyment. You can feel his delight as each item he brings out takes us all RIGHT back to that. But there is that bittersweet pain, knowing it is only a moment. And the sharp reminder that Grant isn't with us. You know it is killing Adam to part with each of these things, while also passing along and building hope, in a new way, to do just that. I would love to pick up one of these items and leave it with Adam and the team, in recognition of so much they gave us.

Man, looking at these old blueprints is so cool, sometimes it feels especially good walking down memory lane, and I think we can all agree that Mythbusters was very special to every one of us and was an integral part of our life and growing up. It completely caught me off guard for a second when I saw Jamie's handwritten numbers on the Cola blueprint because the numbers themselves appear perfectly identical to how I write and form mine. Every bid will start at $0, so it's really a matter of how many other people register and bid. The idea of the auction was to make it as accessible as possible to everyone, but it's hard to know how it'll go!

I love this auction soo much!!!!! I will say that I've been looking into the blueprint for "lead balloon" and the one being auctioned doesn't seem to be the one used in the episode. I find this interesting since I very clearly remember seeing the one being auctioned on tv as a kid, so I'm hoping that a fellow fan and/or Adam and the team at tested could help me out with this.

I squealed when I saw the Hammer Jump blueprint. That was the first episode of MythBusters I ever watched and I immediately fell in love with the show.

Omg I've dreamed of having on of those blueprints framed and hung on my wall!! Hopefully I can snag one up affordably, but I'm not counting it based on the show's fandom.

I was the fan who suggested the episode for “Can a tornado put a straw in a tree. I was so excited when Adam respond on the old Mythbusters forums”. I’m going to bid on those blueprints

I've been reminded about Grant's passing twice now in the last month or so sucks to have the show discontinued and to have lost a member as well 😕

Adam is mostly responsible for me being interested in metallurgy and contraptions and Grant was a big drive for me wanting to study Computer Science. What may seem like TV personalities in some people's eyes can be massive influencers in others...I've always thought that was neat and hopefully one day I can own one of these blueprints

Thanks to Discovery + I’m able to rewatch and finish mythbusters in its entirety with my wife for the first time. Seeing the show as an adult, it’s very obvious how influential it was for me and a kid/teen, and how crazy some of the projects actually are.
