Practicing for the upcoming Silverchair reunion!? Hopefully Chris hasn't gotten rid of all his stuff. He has to have something laying around right? Daniel just needs a bit of convincing I'm sure, even though he's explained why he will never get the band back together. We miss you all Ben.

Considering who is 'the best drummer' - much less ranking them - is an irrational concept. The activity / craft / practice / performance of drumming, is so, *so* much more complex and subjectively interpreted. No measurable quantum can represent the sum of all those parts. It's not like who is the best runner - but even then, would you put a marathoner above a 60m sprinter?

Silverchair was my first concert ever. A memory I'll cherish forever. I remember playing drums along to your albums when I was younger. And I know this is off topic of this video. But I wanted to say that Diorama is one of the best Albums ever created in my opinion. If you read this... thank you for sharing this and thank you for all you've done with music.

1 of THE BEST songs, from 1 of THE BEST albums ever recorded...no debate. Frogstomp was, and still is, pure perfect gold...from Track 1, all the way through Track 11. 1995...such a better time, and an incredible year for music too. I'd give anything, even my left and right nut, to be able to go back to that time/year, and be 15 or 16yo again. Good times...🙂

I haven't played my kit in over a year because of the COVID thing, but will be heading out to play some shows starting in July. I took out my drums last week and cleaned them and changed all top heads. Can't wait. My Roland TD-17kvx rocks, but it's not the same feel. Take care Ben. I look forward to see what else is on here. This was my first silverchair song. I heard it in the animated 1996 Street Fighter movie and I was only little- maybe 6? Or 7? I was born in 1999 though so I heard it around the time Young Modern came out. Completely shaped the kind of music I would end up listening to. I can’t really comment on the technical aspects of your drumming since I’m not an expert but I love listening to you talk about it and what you were thinking all those years back! Ben, these videos are mental! Thanks for giving us a rare look behind the curtain. 12yo me would have just died if official playthroughs had been available back when I first picked up the sticks. I’m definitely a “learn all the fills” kind of player, and I’ve studied your records like you wouldn’t believe. Couple suggestions: would it be possible to hear these older tunes played without the ghost note interpretations? The ghosts are so loud in the mix (not sure if samples or compression) that I sometimes have trouble following the groove. Also, what would you think about following up the explanation videos with an uninterrupted playthrough? Again: merely suggestions. Thanks again for you care in putting these together! I’m enjoying the spit out of them. Maybe Dan and Chris will see these and post their own playthroughs! One can dream.

Been following you guys since 1994! I wrote to your manager back then to see if i could secure some merch but he told me nothing had really been made up at that stage so instead he sent me a signed black & white postcard of you guys when you were the Innocent Criminals and just starting to grow your hair long! Still have it and still love u guys, absolutely awesome memories Inc all the 90's concerts! 😁
