On August 2, 2013, I visited the set of Degrassi. Currently in its 13th season, the MTV teen drama airs its season finale on April 22. A weekly half-hour television series and an integrated website, Degrassi is a pull-no-punches dramatic take on the real-life issues of high school life and beyond. While on set, I was given an exclusive tour by Cristine Prosperi (who plays Imogen on the series). Cristine took me around the main foyer, Principal Simpson's office, the MI Room, Miles' Mansion, Hair & Make-Up and Wardrobe. We also discussed the show's success, its ability to remain relevant and how it is able to introduce new characters so effectively. While on set, I also interviewed Lyle Lettau (who plays Tristan) on the series and he also offered great insight into the show's ability to bring in new faces to compliment its existing cast.
