The only real defense for Bowie here is I'm pretty sure that was during the cocaine years, and once he got clean he said he didn't remember anything that happened because his diet was exclusively milk, bell peppers, and cocaine

Quick caveat, the SAS isn't the British version of the seals. The Delta's, are the American version based on the Special Air service.

I would disagree with your calling of ‘wonga’ ‘rich British kid’ terminology, it was even the name of a chain of now defunct payday loan company. It’s more a slang term likely originating from, of all things, the Romani word for coal.
