Beige brothers & sandy sisters unite! Just got me a copy of Rudiger Dorn’s Arkadia (2006) with its old school elegant design, imagine the depth of play you can get from these themeless polyominoes… Anyway, it’s good to see some reviewers out there haven’t yet drowned under the bling of the crowdfunders, good recommendations right here. Sylla definitely got my attention now, thanks.

Out of the three games, Sylla appeals to me the most. I’ve never seen a used copy come up though so getting hold of a copy may be a challenge. Great that are re-introducing solid old games to us that we don’t necessarily get to hear about elsewhere.

Nice to see you comments these games, they aren't reviewed very often. There was an issue for Sylla in the american market due to naked women (extracards with veils were proposed!) and maybe slaves. This one can be find very cheap and easily in second hand market (5 euros). Il like very much Amyitis too even thought I'm not fan of the illustrations, it's a good mecanic.

Sylla is probably my top "hidden gem" game. Even at its release it wasn't that popular. Dunno why it never caught on because it does a lot of really cool things.

I swear, I saw this video SOOOO many times, due the fact that I find it very very challenging to concentrate if the content provider talk of a closed box rather an open game spread on his table. Wow, that was quite a stuggle..

Interesting games here. Do you listen to the Hidden Gems podcast? They did some good coverage of these and some Ystari games. One aside, I’ve been subscribed for a long time and this video title was disappointing when it popped up.

I finally got ahold of a second hand copy of Amyitis last month. I'm a little disappointed to hear you put it last in the group. Maybe a little house ruling can fix those issues? I'm eager to give it a try though! I have considered Sylla a number of times but just wasn't quite sure. Next time I find an opportunity to get a copy, now I won't hesitate.😁

Hey bud,i remember my expectation wasn't great before i got the game to the table but i was wrong,it was a winner.
