Beijing Subway Fangshan Line opened by the end of 2010, and extended in both directions separately by the end of 2011, 2017, and 2020. Up till now, the line has a length of 20 miles (32km), and has 16 stations. Fangshan Line starts from Fengyi Bridge in Downtown Beijing, which is the southwest point of the 3rd ring road, and travels outbound. It goes across rivers, bypass buildings, and rolls towards the mountains far away. Eventually, the line arrives at Yan Cun East station, which is located in the middle of a large piece of farmland.
Although this is a “suburb line”, this line connects the Capital University of Economy and Trade, the World Theme Park, Changyang County, Liangxiang County, and many other residential areas, and provides various opportunities for Fangshan district to develop. As the ridership during rush hours are high, Fangshan line runs multiple kinds of “halfway trips” to boost travelling capacities.
On the day the video was taken, the sky was clear and blue. Beautiful sceneries could be seen from compartment windows and the drivers’ window.
