This video is for celebrating the opening of the new section of Beijing Subway Line 7 from Jiaohuachang (Coking Factory) to Universal Resort, which travels further east to the suburb area of Beijing, and finally reaching one of the modernist and largest theme part in Beijing.
Beijing Subway Line 7 opened the first section in 2014, from Beijing West Railway Station (北京西站) to Jiaohuachang (焦化厂) (Coking Factory). It travels from west to east, and goes through most of the cardinal areas of southern downtown Beijing.
On 12/30/2019, the line extended east to Hua Zhuang Station, which is one stop away from Universal Resort. The new section connects up more suburb part of Tongzhou District. At Hua Zhuang, passengers may interchange for Line 1 (Batong Line).
On 08/26/2021, Universal Beijing Resort Station finally opened, serving the Universal Theme Park of Beijing. The subway station is huge in its scale, and has a dreamlike design in its high-above dome. The station area could even compete with some airport terminals.
Up till now, the line has a length of 25.18 miles (40.3km) and 30 stations.
With an average ridership of 250000, the line is equipped with 68 8-car trains. Model BDK01 (BD32), number 001-035, was manufactured in 2012; Model BDK04, number 036-068, was manufactured in 2019. Both models were manufactured by Beijing Subway Rolling Stock.
