Being a GameCube Kid - A Nostalgic Retrospective

Strap in for a nostalgia laced look back at the Nintendo GameCube. Covering my time from first getting the console and playing titles like Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart Double Dash, to the end of the consoles life with The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, I go through my time being a GameCube Kid.
Going through titles like Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 and Super Smash Bros. Melee we take you on a trip down memory lane and discuss why I think it was of my benefit that I got a GameCube rather than a PlayStation 2 or an Xbox while growing up.
Please let us know if you have any stories about growing up with a GameCube, or any other console for that matter, we would love to hear from you.

This was great! The Gamecube was the last Nintendo console I owned... got it just to play Star Wars Rogue Leader... still the best feeling controller ever IMO.

GC is where many franchises matured in 3D, N64 was them finding their footing, Wii led them to gimmicky territory,GC was just right. it held so many classics and a top tier library. it was only missing some big third parties like GTA, I truly believe if it used DVD's to hold more data and work as a player it would have done much better, I had friends, long time Nintendo fans, who switched to PS2 for those reasons

Twilight Princess on the Wii is just mirrored port of a Gamecube masterpiece IMO

The Wii controls weren’t that bad compared to Skyward Sword. Also they mirrored it because most people hold the Wii remote with their right hand. I guess that means that BOTW on the Switch is just a port of a Wii U masterpiece.
