I actually like how you have to give Undyne water to get true pacifist, because it’s not just about not killing anyone, it’s about being kind and helping others. It’s like how sparing Monster Kid means you can’t get true genocide even though you can’t hit them, because it’s not just about killing everyone, it’s about being completely heartless and mean to everyone. By sparing Monster Kid you’re showing you still have some empathy in you.

I remember when I tried the true pacifist run, I wanted to see how long I could go making undyne mad at me so I kept running in circles infront if sans’ hot dog stand instead of moving forward, then making it to hotland stood like 2 inches from her with the water for like probably 2-3 minutes before pouring it. Then showing up at her house proceeded to tell her that I came to rub my victory in her face, told her anime was real, and when having ti fight her after burning down her kitchen decided, if this goes wrong I’ll reload my save since it’s recent, and hit the fight button. Edit: I have no idea how many times I asked for the entire fridge on the date - hangout thing.
