The trick to Joey's comedy is that he's brutally honest with himself and his past. He's the most honest comedian out there right now. NOT EASY TO DO.

I think the reason why this country is so depressed and many ppl abusing drugs is bc there are too many ppl working soul sucking jobs. Every day i go to a job like this and i have never been more depressed over this past year. We assume that ppl working consistently is a good thing but bc many jobs are boring and useless we have a large population of ppl who are depressed bc of it

What are you saying? Jobs and income should be controlled by the government? There will always be an employer offering a shitty job with shitty pay and there will always be a sucker willing to work there. I think people need to bounce around the job market until they find what they're happy doing. I think joey has a podcast where he talks about quiting a job from one day to the next for bullshit reasons haha.

@@crusader1236 I hate the word criminal. Its a terrible an inaccurate way to describe people. Joey was a traumatized kid that used drugs to cover the pain. He lashed out a lot and hurt who he loved. But saying he'll always have a "Criminal mindset" is wrong. Criminal is inaccurate. You're only considered a "criminal" if you get caught. Aren't we criminals for speeding and smoking weed? Labeling people as "criminals" is how we justify mistreating them in our justice system

The thing is people do things they don't want to do and when they get that paycheck they want to blow it fast. So if you waste that money you just wasted hours of your life because you traded time for money. So there you are blowing money on the weekend then on Monday you go back to something you don't like. You gotta get out of that circle if you don't like it. You will always be working until you get old but its up to you if someone is gonna be bossing you around or you're gonna be the boss.
@cage91654 жыл бұрын

The problem with regular jobs is that people never feel passionate about what they're doing. They're just doing it for money, not self fulfillment. Find what you are interested in and make a career out of it.
@jq73234 жыл бұрын
What if you can't find what you are interested in? Or don't have the time/money to follow that passion?. Everyone says do what you like, but never tell you how to achieve it.
@ST-ip7sg4 жыл бұрын
Joey has a quote where he says "If you really want it, you'll get by." He was talking about how he was doing comedy even though he wasnt making any money or had anywhere to live. It wont happen from one day to the next, you need to ask your self the right questions and make a plan. Its all up to you to act on the decisions you are scared to make. If you dont have enough confidence in your self to do that, then you are better off putting up with your regular job or finding a different job. Its not for everybody, or else everyone would be happy!
