I will actually be listening to this on my golf game tomorrow. Feel for me when I say I feel for you, our imaginations kicked in when we went to this world when this game came out. I mean cmon when Sephiroth first appeared, and you learn theres a new mission to underfoot, and new adventure and journey would come up...

At first it was a bit stand-off ish at the different 'feel' to the soundtrack, but as it's gone further, the different style is enjoyable :) Thank you!

Damn this installment off final fantasy is still my favourite of all time! It literally bought a grown man to tears to see this remastered.. I've grown up with this and this music I've listened to for soo many years.. shame you tube keep taking down these ost videos! I can't want to play ffvii part two even if it may be years before I can play it.. wish they'd had done this sooner

Some definite improvement over a few instruments (namely oboe). GM Midi Soundfonts can sound a bit wompy, I would recommend the XG midi of the PC version of the game (especially played through something like a Yamaha SW-1000XG) for a slight improvement in quality without sacrificing the characteristic tonality that we're all so nostalgic for.

Yeah, I realize now that I should have looped most of these tracks at least once. This is corrected if you check out the updated archive (based on XG MIDIs, so different sounding) in the description. I should redo this with the looping, yes.

The sound bank? I use my own custom soundfonts that I have fiddled with over the years, so you can't find them specifically on the web. IIRC the one used in this can't be shared due to certain commercial samples in it as well. "GoldMidiSF2" (commercial soundfonts) and "Soundfonts 4 U" (free stuff) are two websites with the resources to start your personal mixture (yes, it involves cherry picking from a lot of stuff). I tend to pay a lot of money to experiment with new sounds (when I can). In the end, many uncredited/unnamed people are involved with the samples.

@@niltwill Wow! I didn't expect you to have done this quickly! But I'm kinda worried, why is the file in .exe? The song files in this game are in .ogg format so I wonder why it's not in a .zip or .rar file, Windows keep saying that it has virus, I know it can be false but I don't want to take this risk. Did you uploaded this mod anywhere else like in some modding community? I would recommend you doing so if not. Anyway, I really appreciate your effort, I'm asking just want to make sure that it's safe. (It's not common to see someone literally making an entire mod just for one single comment lol)

@@sanglish18 Well, I did create music mods before for some titles in the Ace Attorney series, which was harder. And I thought why not for FF7 too, learned how to do looping before. It's probably a false positive, no idea why it gets flagged, there's nothing malicious in it, besides the OGG files. But I can also upload it as a simple ZIP archive if that's better and link to that (as alternative option) -- here it is: drive.google.com/file/d/1TfHJ-7VLLzW4upy0S90V3cML3r0-pf3e/view I used NSIS to create the EXE, end result is a really barebones 'installer', if you can call it that, the main goal of it is that you can choose whatever track you desire individually. It's not uploaded anywhere else, this wasn't tested for long. What modding community you had in mind? And as you said, a simple ZIP archive would work better for peace of mind.

Lol and in 97 this was basically the "avatar" of video games with how innovative the graphics and presentation of cinematic storytelling was. You still get completely immersed.

I know it sucks, this is now old stuff. I'm experimenting with different instruments to try to improve it. Mainly the orchestral ones. That's TBD.

I dreamt of proto chocobo on my real life breeding program, part of my lucid dreaming program (5th dimension meat-cube, the cube within a cube is the "you" and the bigger cube is you, BUTmines is better HA), two were kiwi insectovore beaks on my left, but one, the down quark, +0.666666 sexy was she, shovel incisor raptor beak, carbuncle crest on her head, like a Halo, about 3ft in size, I dream-thought she's an adult, we now need to breed greater mass bulk into her...
