I just wanted to say that I believe I heard Magomed say that he would "make the same agreement that he made with Johnny Walker when he fights Alex Pereira". I really think I heard him say that he told him he wasn't going to take him down. You will have better access to listen back to the interviews after the fight. If what I heard is true he is prepared to try to prove a point to show your good he is even when (as you say) he could risk everything he wants to achieve. Kamaru has never been taken by anyone, not even Colby. Colby tried, but failed to get a full takedown in their 50 minutes of fighting. Khamzat made Usman look normal, which is insane. Usman is probably the hardest fighter to take down in UFC history, considering the resumes of the people he's fought and how they couldn't do anything to him in the wrestling. I don't think anyone except Usman survives that 1st round with Khamzat.

Strickland is Friggin SMART. Had he not made a big deal of whatever light shit Dricus said, nobody woulda given two hoots about DDP vs. Strickland. And he sold it well with the WWE-esque assault with punches to Dricuss's back - DDP clearly said he didn't get hurt in the slightest.

Thats basically what every fighter does for the bigger fights though. You work with what you get, and DDP is to be thanked for that aswell. He knew Strickland talks alot about trauma, and Sean knew he could use the trauma topic to make it personal. They both even said they dont have anything against eachother, so its really just what every fighter does for a main event to sell tickets. Also shout out to Dana for putting both in the same place at the UFC event. 😂 They all know what they are doing

They DID fight welterweight, and then they had a list of big fights at MIDDLEWEIGHT before they fought for the title. I think Sean's point of view is that he is making fun of things adults decided to do as adults. Not things that were out of their control. Even the thing about the young girl.
