The value of a company has nothing to do with its decision to cut staff. Bell Canada is a price-controlled utility that needs to generate profit for its shareholders. Given the decline in its stock price over the past five years, and the massive decline in television advertising revenue, I challenge these politicians to spend their own money on BCE shares, and try and make a buck running this company
