//FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.
-What equipment do you use?

Tripod: amzn.to/2w4ReK8

@statisticallybl
@statisticallybl 6 ай бұрын
@@powellinaALDAYeach blanket I made was a different size, so it’s hard to say. I modified the pattern a bit to make a couple of my blankets a little wider and a little shorter (60 chains wide and about 40 rows). As a beginner, and wanting to take my time since it was a gift and I didn’t want to mess up, each row of 60 chains took about 10 minutes. So 6-7 hours for that size blanket. I think I used about 4 1/2 skeins of bernat blanket yarn.

Somehow I got the same end result without the chain turning point (I chained one and turned) and without going into the 3rd stitch form hook. I chained one and went right back into stitch I finished and I've gotten half a blanket done and it looks amazing and straight edges. I just started crocheting Tuesday! I love this!

Molly It’s all about practice! If you’re just starting, I recommend making a blanket just for yourself to see what you need to work on, what patterns work best for you, etc. that’s how I started crocheting, started with one blanket for myself to see my weak points, and how to improve, etc. It helps you see how you’ve progressed! If you were planning on making it for someone else, continue, and when you’re all finished, start with one for you to help you

I love your videos! Your voice is so soothing and calming - I say that because as a beginner listening to your calm voice instructions it really helps relieve the stress of being such a newbie at crochet. I'm going to try this but I'm going to use a dual-color yarn for my first time so that I don't have to worry about changing colors. Once I see that I can do it properly I will attempt the two-color like you've shown here. Thank you for sharing your expertise!

I wanted to do it so badly at first and assumed there would be no videos on KZfaq and That I would have to take classes. I made lots of projects for friends, family and my animals that they love so much. I just want to thank you so much for uploading videos to youtube for everyone to learn. It made me realize how happy and grateful I am for some people who just want to spread information regardless if their is a price on it.
