This is wearable art, a masterpiece on fabric. I feel like this style of tie-dye would be spectacular on a tapestry, it would be something this pretty to look at every day.

This does have tapestry written all over it. The only problem (from someone who routinely tie dyes large pieces of fabric) would be finding hemostats or something that would serve the same function in a much larger size. There would be a much longer line that you would need to cover. I dont know how big they make hemostats (and how much something that large would cost). You also wouldn't be able to get this effect with sinew due to the overlapping of the hemostats. Although, with tie dye there is always someone that finds a solution to these things. I mean, it takes some imaginative thinking to connect a microwave cover to making better spirals...and the cake molds...that was genius! 😉

Yeah, Scott you might be right about the hemostats. I think my largest is 12” so the tip isn’t all that big. However, it could be the center and break off into sinew lines of random stuff like a snowflake. I wish I could take credit for the splatter guard and cake molds, but I can’t. We have #igotdyeonit and Angie, #funendeavors to thank for those. Don’t forget the vinyl gutter. GENIUS!! 🥸❤️🌈

@@BelladonnaDyesCoHi Steph i’ve had a blast today Reading and replying to some of the commentsI when I could,we had Company over this afternoon Christmas shopping sold 10 shirts😁 i’m replying to the rest of the comments right now I hope to dye some stuff tomorrow I have only a couple videos left that I haven’t posted I’m still trying to get the tripod working for me again. I had to duck tape two of them together to try to get an overhead shot it worked for A while anyway, i’ll see what I can figure out.I’ve done five or six shirts I might just post pictures of at the end of the next video thank you again for everything I’ve had a great day🙏✌️

Gorgeous Steph. I know what you mean about custom orders and no two tie dyes are exactly the same. I had a woman, a long time ago, she kept making me remake a shirt over and over until I gave her all of them and asked to never come back. I haven’t done a custom order since. That was 35 years ago. Thanks for sharing Steph. You’re such an inspiration. ✌🏻

The flower really pops...not just because the color contrasts with the watercolor background, but because the colors you picked really helped make it look 3D. It's blooming right off the shirt!

You seem to have a really good understanding of how youtube works it’s algorithms and stuff, and You’re always very open about sharing that information. I’ve been wondering if sitting through and actually watching the ads increases creators revenue, or if clicking the skip ad button makes no difference.

I’m trying to understand KZfaq. It’s constantly changing and I’m new to it. I just want the content to get out there so I can spread rainbows to everybody. To be honest I don’t know about the adds. I’ve asked and they dance around the question. I think the longer an ad plays there is more revenue but I’m not 100% certain. I wish I could get a straight answer. I’ll tell you what I do. Let’s say I’m watching my favorite KZfaq channel, Fun Endeavors, I’ll put her tutorial on and go take a shower. Let it play ads and all. Then later when I have time to concentrate I watch and learn. 🤓❤️🌈

So, if I'm starting a line of color and I don't want it to go all over the place, I sacrifice a little bit off to the side right before I go to drip it on the fabric, so that way I'm only laying dye where I want to.. Sacrifice for the sake of the greater good! 😂 This is FANTASTIC Steph! Great idea! And a gorgeous turn out! just wow. Talk about floural. The pinks and greens really nail it. And that flower is just stunning. Marvelous Job!omw to your buddies page! 😁

That’s a great tip. Thank you Jesse. Yeah, I tipped the bottle and it just poured out. Pressure from shaking it maybe? 🤷‍♀️ When I flipped it and added the dye it didn’t do that. Thanks! Yes, I am a perfectionist when it comes to certain things. Whatever I’m doing I have to be my personal best at it. I’m really hard on myself actually. Tie dye isn’t really a good hobby for perfection… 🤪 That being said, attention to detail is what creates the beautiful final outcome. I feel like it shows on most projects. If I don’t feel in a certain headspace I won’t make the item. The blank has to speak to me. Does that make sense? Like these hemostat dyes. They aren’t hard to do, but I have to be in the mood. That’s why I make a lot of spirals. They are quick and easy and fun because what I’m really after is seeing the dye colors together. “Now it’s time for the fun part, we get to add the dye” I really mean that. 😉❤️🌈

I like how the outer petals sort of blend into the background. That, to me , really says Tie dye. When you started to add the Powder Pink on top of the Sage Green I was thinking you might be ending up with a lot more brown than what eventually happened. I really like the flower, and I have never seen this done before. It is so cool how the petals have so much depth with the shadowing effect of the Grape giving it a 3-d appearance. You should do more of these hemostat flowers. This one was really great. (fyi...still waiting for your eggplant appreciation video...🤣🤣🤣🤣) I think it is Rhia who always says there are never mistakes in tie dye (although I could send her a couple of things and ask if she still has that opinion), and the way the darker purple gives it so much depth makes it look like you did it on purpose.

Hi, Scott, thanks for the comment. I even added Ecru which is kind of a light brown. With the Sage Green being so dark I think the Powder Pink would just layer over top and possibly make the green a little darker perhaps. 🤷‍♀️ I know I say “it’s ok, it’s tie dye” a lot. Does Riah say anything anymore? I miss her teaching tutorials. I learned a lot from her earlier tutorials. I would binge her and Fun Endeavors, Mr. Tie Dye, Casual Collision and that one lady that has the crazy little jingle she sings, her name has escaped me at the moment, leading up to buying me first dye from Dharma. Ah… the good old days. I thought I used Eggplant in the third Aurora Borialus shirt. Eggplant is coming though. I don’t think it’s too far off from the reds. 😉❤️🌈

I agree. Without it I think they would look a little flat. My dahlia petals change color as they bloom. That was the look I was hoping to achieve. I’m bummed about the top petals but I’ll move on eventually. 🤣❤️🌈
