I ride wearing the Belstaff Crosby motorcycle jacket so here I give my honest review.

Its very frustrating when researching jacket reviews, don't give their height & size of jacket. Many of us overseas & cant try on jackets of different sizes. I did go thru the comments to find the jacket is a - Large & yes you did tell us your height & weight. Good review.

You have convinced me Nick , I am 5”8 and have a RE 350 classic and it looks good to me 👍🏻thanks nice video

I have the same jacket and use it occasionally for rides. My biggest worry though is the very light/small armour and the lack of evidence that the fabric will endure a crash.

I had a quick look at the Motolegends website and they list it as AA armour. To be fair it's something I didn't consider - I just bought it on the looks! My biggest "moan" is that it doesn't breathe and is just too hot for me when it's sunny and above 25 or 26c. Luckily living in the UK this isn't a major problem! Cheers

I had a Belstaff very similar to that back in 1980, wish I had kept it. For +25C you cannot beat an armoured mesh jacket, probably not the 'classic' look but very practical.

They remain timeless don't they? I agree with you - a mesh jacket is needed at higher temperatures. I have one but it has Harley-Davidson written in huge letters on it! I bought it when I had a Harley and rode it to Spain.

@@thesussexrider Got a Spain trip coming up but unfortunately I don't dare just take a mesh jacket. Probably need the full Rukka for some of the journey and packing space is tight on a motorcycle.

Enjoy! I'm toying with the idea of taking the RE on the ferry to Santander and heading across Northern Spain and down to Lisbon next year.

It’s been raining here all day in Florida I broke out my belstaff xl500 nylon jacket and it was comfy to me very windy but I was really comfortable

They make great jackets for sure! I used to live on the Georgia /Florida border as a kid. When it rains - it really rains!

Thanks for the review! I'm currently learning to ride purely because I want to buy a royal enfield classic, and like you say a classic jacket is a must. I'm a similar height so I appreciate the review, I think this is the one I'll try on and expect to buy. What size did you go for and, do you find you're adding layers under on cold days?

@@thesussexrider Nick you didn't answer John's question. You told us your height & weight but not what size the jacket is. I am similar height weight - any chance you could tell us the size of the Crosby Jacket ? Kind regards.

Hi Jona - I recently ( 3 months ago ) purchased a RE Classic 350 in halcyon grey. I love it - fitted with canvas bags - heel n toe shifter & Fuel X Lite. Wishing you all the luck & success !

That angle pocket is a map pocket

Yes I think it was put at that angle for that reason (so you can get the map out easily) but it's very small! Cheers

Hi Great review and nice Jacket. I am willing to buy it but unfortunatelly I cannot try it on here in Local. I am wondering what size do you choose for it ? My height is as almost same as you.

Thanks for your kind words. I usually wear Medium but I ordered a Large and it fits perfectly!

Thanks for your kind words. I'm 5ft 8in tall and just over 12 stone. I normally wear medium but was advised by Motolegends near Guildford to go for a large and it fits perfectly. I wear this all the time and last year on a trip to Ireland it kept me dry despite terrible weather! It does get hot in summer but I have no regrets in buying it. Best wishes. Nick
