Yes, we were keen to maintain a reasonable disguise but make sure it's within the bounds defined by the morris organisations.Black is still a core colour but some hints of blues or greens similar to the appearance of corvids which has always been a key element of Beltane. In the early days we were said to resemble crows and later a dance was conceived about the Ravens of Blackingstone, an old Dartmoor tale. Hope to see yoi again sometime! 👍🍺🎻🎩🎶

Aim is to retain a disguise element and level of mystery and elements of corvid appearance but reduce overall facial coverage to meet the new guidelines from the morris organisations. It took a lot of discussions but the whole side and most fans are very supportive of the change
